According to SSN we’ve put a £4 million bid in for him
He’s older than Crainey!
But not as old as Pollitt.
i heard a rumour in the week but thought it was bollocks,he wants to move back north because his family still lives in carlise
he’s a proper player
Grant Holt and Rickie Lambert played together for Rochdale in League Two.
IF TRUE – then whilst we may be getting shafted a bit on the price he’s one of them players that as soon as he’s wearing a Latics shirt we’d all love him.
A goalscorer who would run through a brick wall for us. Think Neil Roberts but more prolific. He’d do for me.

That was exactly what was said about Andy Saville.
I’ve seen holt play at the DW twice, he was slow, overweight and useless in both games.
No thanks

Yeah, but we had super Gary Caldwell in the centre of defence, not many got past him.
Seriously though, he may be a bit of a cart horse, but he is the type of centre forward you need at our level. I would rather Kone stayed but that isn’t looking likely.
Crainey, Pollitt and now Holt.
We’ve already got Boyce – we might as well buy Kevin Davies too!
Aren’t there any good young players coming through?
He would score 20+ goals in the championship and he’s done well for Norwich get him signed
I keep saying this but I’m sure that a lot of people are forgetting that we are in the Championship now and can’t afford to be too snooty about who we sign.
Holt isn’t my favourite but, as Squire says, he’d be the kind of player we’d all love. A bit of a Geoff Horsfield type, perhaps.
Can’t actually see it coming off myself, but this is going to be a fascinating eight weeks or so.
Norwich apparently wanted £2 million from Melbourn Heart.
Apparently we are trying negotiate a price for holt
