12 September 2013 at 3:26 pm #120951Pity its not till April. May force O.C’s hand into getting someone on loan.
12 September 2013 at 9:51 pm #120974Thats only 3 weeks away….
12 September 2013 at 11:25 pm #120977Adebayor might be a decent loan signing if he can be persuaded to play in the championship for one season.
The thought of scoring 30-40 goals might just tempt him if we could share his wages with Spurs.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!13 September 2013 at 12:04 am #120978Pity its not till April.
Don’t you give anyone a chance pal?

13 September 2013 at 1:57 pm #120996I will give anyone a CHANCE but what I’ve seen of him pre season and up to now, Apart from a fluke and a penalty, he hasn’t looked liked scoring. I can run faster and jump higher than he does and I’m twice his age. I remember a few years ago when we signed, I think it was O’Neil? from Portsmouth for a BIG FEE A few Latics fans were in a bar in Bournemouth a few weeks later, when they were down there to watch the Bournemouth Latics game and were talking to Ted McDougal. He told them that when the Latics people signed the paperwork and left the room all the Portsmouth directors burst out laughing. Looks like History could have repeated itself.
Pennell set up with a dew worm for big snig… :)
13 September 2013 at 5:26 pm #121000Was he in the Golden Fry last night??
13 September 2013 at 5:52 pm #121001By the size of him I think he’s in there every night
13 September 2013 at 9:36 pm #121002Wouldn’t worry too much about Portsmouth directors laughing – Look at them now!

13 September 2013 at 10:13 pm #121003Bournemouth did the same trick with Ted McDougall.
They’ve named the new stand after him – they could have rebuilt the whole ground with his transfer fee.

I’m sure that was a good post, but I’m too tired to read it, been fishing all day.

Don’t you just love these stories based on nothing more than hearsay?
I can’t think of who you might be referring to so I’ll stand corrected if you can actually name the player in question. I do know it wasn’t Michael O’Neill who never played for Portsmouth.
Maybe it was that useless twat Arjan de Zeeuw….!!!!14 September 2013 at 2:47 pm #121014Must be either Alan Mclouglan (probably spelt wrong) or Juan Peron, both were normally fairly useless although Peron did show glimpses of brilliance .
14 September 2013 at 11:55 pm #121027Hi blue checked with my mate at today’s game and it was Alan McLoughlin. :)
And I know two people who were in that bar when Ted McDougal made that statement… -
