That”s got to be the best football weve played in ages today. A team of hungry players giving 110% in what looked like a nice balanced team. I know it got a bit twitchy at the end but it was never a 2-1 game.
I reckon if we’d have had Yannick on the pitch we would have been out of site by 60 mins.
We are actually looking like a good unit, attacking in numbers and defending in numbers.
Its looking like the second half of this season is going to be far more enjoyable than the first half. :cheer:

What a journey!Agreed, tbh saw the team thought it a bit too defensive but what do I know. Getting punched on the nose each game would still be less painful than the first half to be fair.
We are actually looking like a good unit, attacking in numbers and defending in numbers.I actually said that during the game. It’s a cliche – but we were hunting in packs. Tackling, defending, passing the ball around and attacking; all with plenty of support.
Another point is how good is Haugard?
None of this faffing about playing it wide, slowly and hesitantly, to a defender. Boot upfield, and it’s instantly in their half and they are under pressure. What is impressing me is that he can clear upfield no matter how the ball comes to him: one touch, volley, half-volley, under pressure or whatever. It must give huge confidence to the defence and it can be no coincidence that Dan Burn has improved immeasurably.
One of the best saves I’ve seen at the DW today, thought he was at fault for the goal but having seen it again that was a bit harsh.
Burn hasn’t improved he’s been good all year just that people still cant forget his first few dodgy games. Consistently one of our better players.

Dead right Lowey, previously our defence had been put under so much pressure through the way the manager opted play. Now the midfield take that pressure and it pays dividends. Long odds I know, but I’m optimistic about next Sunday
