WILL GRIGG CALLED UP FOR NORTHERN IRELAND
Will Grigg named in squad for UEFA Euro 2016 qualifiers.
Northern Ireland to face Faroe Islands and Hungary in September internationals.
Forward looking to add to seven caps for country so far.
Wigan Athletic forward Will Grigg has been named in former Latics midfielder, Michael O’Neill’s Northern Ireland squad for the upcoming UEFA Euro 2016 qualifiers against Faroe Islands and Hungary.
Grigg’s last appearance for O’Neill’s side came back in May during a 1-1 draw with Qatar at Crewe Alexandra’s, Alexandra Stadium.
Northern Ireland will travel to Faroe Islands on Friday 4 September, before a home game against Hungary on Monday 7 September. They currently sit second in Group F, just one point behind leaders Romania, and two points ahead of third place Hungary.
Grigg’s call up means he will be unavailable for selection for Latics’ trip to Chesterfield on Saturday 5 September.
