Been watching Sunderland Till I die on Netflix. Deadline day and after meeting the £1m asking price, Stuart Donald somehow ends up paying £3m. Everyone, from the manager to the head of recruitment to the Chief Exec was telling him to put his phone away because he simply isn’t worth any more than £1.25m.
The rest is history, but boy was Mr Donald taken for a mug that night.

Oh dear what a shame never mind.

Watched it myself Mutt and seriously hope our owner and his sidekick have a little more acumen about them. As a fan mutt how did they come across to you. I think the chief exec is bonkers.
3 April 2020 at 1:54 pm #185929Big club and more expectation at Sunderland and a bigger squad so more competion for his place.
Good business for us and looked a good move at the time however it hasn’t worked out sadly.
A huge favourite here though always scored important goals which is a good measure of a valuable striker.
He will surface successfully again I’m sure if it .3 April 2020 at 1:55 pm #185930Big club and more expectation at Sunderland and a bigger squad so more competion for his place.

As a fan mutt how did they come across to you. I think the chief exec is bonkers.Too much of it about the owner and Chief Exec. I was expecting a bit more dressing room coverage, but I guess the manager wasn’t as keen on the 2nd series (and the money) as the owner. O’Nien comes across as a very pleasant lad – the sort you’d like your daughter to date. But TBF, that’s exactly how he comes across every day and every game. First into training and last out. First to come to the fans for selfies and the last to leave.
Owner comes across as naïve. Chief Exec comes across as a “don’t bullshit me” guy, which is exactly what was needed after the last Chief Exec who had a £100K cryo chamber installed that only he used!
This season, they’ve been found out and exposed as a couple of southern chancers who bet the parachute payment on going up and flogging us for a profit. Charlie has already walked away and Stu is trying to sell up, but is still deluded enough to be asking £40m for a club he bought for significantly less, using parachute payments to part-fund it.

It was a good watch mutt I really enjoyed it. Made me giggle though when he said “a million they are taking the piss” few hours later he is so desperate he offers 3 mill lol.
3 April 2020 at 10:05 pm #185933I’m a firm believer you give this guy the ball he will score you goals.

4 April 2020 at 12:01 am #185938The only striker to ever miss a sitter.
4 April 2020 at 12:11 am #185939Certain strikers suit certain clubs and Will suited us. Look at the Duke once he left his career went downhill faster than Franz Klammer. I would like to think if Will could have his time again he would have stayed.

I’m assuming it was you Mutty as I can’t imagine who else i would have been having the discussion with but I did warn you about this guy when he took over and you were hailing him as your saviour and believing every word that came out of his mouth
Apologies if it wasn’t you. I definitely had the debate with someone on here
