What’s the relevance of Uwe Rosler appearing in it?
15 April 2014 at 1:32 pm #129921None at all, really.
Each week they have a “guest” appearance, ie who the artist can draw that week.
The only relevance I suppose is that at least he is achieving prominence as someone worth featuring, unusual for Latics.

I went through the whole thing seeing if I’d missed the reference to him & then thought that maybe he’d put the questions forward??
I wouldn’t send the first guy off – maybe caution him & think of some reason why I didn’t class it as violent conduct. Reminds me of an incident at Hartlepool during our 96/97 season where Gavin Johnson clashed with a photographer he obviously thought was too close to the edge of the pitch & decided to boot all his gear up in the air. he only got cautioned that day if I remember rightly
For the second if the ball bounces off the field of play before it goes in play then its a retake
For the third pretty much what the main answer says15 April 2014 at 2:24 pm #12992615 April 2014 at 2:26 pm #129928Or even more unfairly
15 April 2014 at 3:23 pm #129932Paul Trevillion is quite a character. I once saw him in a Christmas pantomime.
From Wikipedia; Trevillion’s career away from his art has been rich and, at times, bizarre. He worked as a stand-up comedian, supporting the likes of Norman Wisdom and Bob Monkhouse, had a record deal, was crowned world speed-kissing champion, and invented a split-handed golf putting technique. He was also the inspiration behind an attempt to boost Leeds United’s image in the 1970s. Hired by Don Revie in 1972, his ideas included wearing numbered sock tags (which were subsequently thrown into the crowd as souvenirs) and synchronised warm-ups.
The cartoon strip may offer an answer to bronx’s question;
Can anyone explain why, when Leeds had two players down injured at the same time, both attended to by the trainer, they didn’t leave the field of play as the rules state? Thought there may be a ruling where if two people are injured, and require the trainer, then they don’t have to leave the field, but it happened a couple of weeks ago when Liverpool played, I think Southampton, and two Southampton players were off the field when Liverpool scored.15 April 2014 at 3:38 pm #129933To be fair to the ref with that one, i think he may have, at a push, been able to get away with the initial kick to bring him down. It would have been stretchign it a bit as it was a studs up in his stomach kick but I’d just argue that I didn’t have the best view of it – the several he dished out whilst the bloke was lying on the deck & not doing owt didn’t really give the ref much option though!!
I think the ref in the second one could have sold a caution over a sending off. Tried to just grab him to hold him whilst the setwards got there, he struggled & ended up falling to the floor!!15 April 2014 at 10:59 pm #129938If memory serves me right I saw Paul Trevillion on stage at Wigan Casino around 1974.
He was on for about 40 minutes drawing cartoons !!
What a crap night that was16 April 2014 at 5:52 pm #129945Looking at those two videos it’s amazing how many players/coaches don’t know the rules.
You can understand their frustration at it but surely if you know that that’s the rule you have nothing to argue about.
18 April 2014 at 2:20 pm #129983I would give a yellow card to Garswood for using a lower case ‘t’ in the title of the thread for the word ‘the’! :) Any more of that behaviour from a man of his calibre and he will be off! :dry:
18 April 2014 at 2:34 pm #129984Indeed, titles should be correct to a T.
