Im still gutted, Not looking forward to work on Tuesday and my views now are the same as the season began.
We need a new Chairman – Okay maybe not with vast millions at his disposal but with heart and balls and someone who doesn’t lie to the fans about transfer funds and players leaving e.t.c. He has been a marvel in our clubs rise to the promised land but the fact he took us up from the old third division to the prem was just a get rich in 10 years guaranteed plan. Not love for the club or he would have invested a lot more than he has, And it’s not as though we have not had the managers to get good players with.
Roberto MUST stay, He has learned a massive lesson today and he must sign proven players to be able to cope with a top flight league. It’s still a working progress and im sh1tting myself at the next performance wheteher they bend over and lube up again or show some bollocks and earn some of their mighty wages. I still think Bobby is the man for the job and even though we lost 9-1 we did okay first half.
And it is VITAL we get behind the boys and forget today, Tomorrow is a fresh start to our season it has to be,Erase today from our minds and laugh at the result at the end of the season if we stay up. A tonking has been coming and now i hope the powers that be realise things need to drastically change. So do something about it Dave and Brenda you dont run a run down 3rd division club from a porta cabin any more this is the most glittering league in the world and if you want to stay here then pull yer finger out.
Lots of posts on here are about sacking Martinez etc and shame on Whelan. What can we do about that result, absolutely nothing, are we annoyed – of course we all are, but all we can do is to see how they react come the next 2 games. You dont think that they arent embarassed?
Am sure Martinez knows what his problems are and we can see a motivational issue, they do seem to give up. Have faith he will change things.

What happened happened, lets move on !
All this keep the faith b0llox. Utter pap. THats what you all said after portsmouth.
Yeah, keep the faith, Scotland is ace, Gomez is class. Sorry bobby, enough is enough.
And you really think by changing our manager now will help? How? More new players we cant afford to sign, selling off tallent who want to leave cause the manager has gone, end up with a clueless club and no fan base. Excellent choice. How do you envisage taking the club forward? What throw more money at it and get in Sir Alex? Am sure he would love to come to manage a club of so called fans.
Time will tell on Martinez, who is a Wigan man through and through. But you have to give him time.
Most of the long term fans who go week in week out are ‘wigan men through and through’ – does not mean they will be up to the job of managing a premier league club.
Changing Bobby now would probably not improve us, but if he keeps plugging away with Scotland and Gomez, it will certainly relegate us.
He should drop 4 or 5 from that team, but he wont. The same clowns will start next weekend. How bad is it that your main striker doesnt even know which is his stronger foot? Cant score in 14 games. Awful. Everyone sees it, except Martinez. We will need a new manager to build for the championship come March, because when you rose tinted specs brigade are looking at us at played 30, 20 points, Scotland zero goals, you will all be saying – why did no-one act? Terrible situations develop when good men turn away and stand idly by. If he plays the same team against Sunderland, he should not just go, but be sacked.
You will be dismayed come March when he finally drops Scotland. The cry will be ‘alas, too late’.
I’ve slated Boyce as being a ‘Championship’ player for ages. Bramble, despite a great season under Bruce last year, has gone backwards totally. A liability. Melchiot? Christ, he’s been shoite for the past 2 seasons. Past it.
Edman? Had him down as a good player. But if that’s how he is after that injury, I’m afraid he’s finished.
Any other club would have wholesale changes next week. I remember Stan Ternent coming on the radio years ago, after Burnley had played rubbish and got tonked, and he NAMED the players who had let him down and stated that they would NEVER play again.
Us? No, it’ll all be the same, with the feeling of “Trust Roberto” in the air.
The squad needs major surgery (Copyright P. Jewell) but I don’t think Roberto is hard enough for the job. We need an hard faced, gritty, shouter to kick the lazy fukkers up their asses, and if need be, out of the club.
But he’s simply ‘Smithers’ to Whelan’s ‘Mr Burns’, isn’t he?
