Just reached the halfway point of our league season and I’m a bit out of breath
Loving every minute.
Bit of a slow start tonight but we gathered momentum as the game went on.
Two more winnable games up next This season is turning into some ride and with the new signings still to play, where will it all end?
Absolutely over the moon with how this season is panning out. Especially as I was someone who would have settled for mid table mediocrity at the start. Only latics could do this. What a club!
We’ve bought the league and it’s borderline cheating. We should be docked points.
The key thing is that at the same stage for all the other clubs, we would be 4 clear. We’re 2nd now already so the pressure is off. The games in hand are free hits as long as we win the scheduled games.
That week in February will hopefully have the pressure on them that they MUST win where we can take any result and move on.
Pan your minds back to where we were just 12 months ago. Think about what our expectations were at the beginning of the season, I think mine were to finish on roughly the points we have now and looking forward to strengthening again for next season.
Like SSB says, the games in hand are free hits now, just need to sort the regular fixtures and try to do better against Sunderland, Rotherham and Wycombe. Pressure is firmly on them to get a result and that is how we would want it.
