As probably the most successful “small club” in recent football league history, I fear that our bubble has finally burst ! Can’t ever see us clambering our way back to the top flight. How would we afford the wages, unless Dave sells out to a multi million money bags foreign investor. Football has eaten itself !!!!!!!!!

As fans we have been on the greatest ride ever and don’t worry it wont be long before we all get on the next one. I wouldn’t put anything past this club.

Exactly…
Never forget how DW was ridiculed over his “Premier League in 10 years” comment in 1995. If he had added…”and we will win the FA Cup within 20 years, beating the richest club in the world in the final”….the men in white coats would have come for him :woohoo:
17 August 2014 at 7:33 pm #132847There haven’t been many lean years over the past 20 years have there ?
1997-98, 2001-2002 and that’s about it if you ask me – the premier years were a roller coaster and just staying in it was like a cup final victory.
Maybe we are about to see some lean years as the drawbridge has well and truly been pulled up money wise but the league is very open so I’m not giving up just yet.
Blackpool must be there for the taking next week surely.17 August 2014 at 10:56 pm #132850Got to get past Cardiff on Tuesday first.
I can’t see that being as easy as last seasons Cup match especially after them scoring 3 yesterday.
