Hugo may be off to Stoke next week for £10m with Ricardo Fuller coming to Wigan as either part of the £10m deal or as well as the £10m. Stoke are also interested in another of our players but no names have been mentioned.
This is only a rumour and, for me can’t be true BUT you never know!
Personally, 10 mill + Fuller for Rodders is very good business for us in my opinion and I for one wouldn’t be too concerned if this deal went ahead apart from wondering why on earth Hugo would go to Stoke!
I wouldnt have thought this was true, why would we have risked a £10m sale by playing him in the FA Cup?
If he does go, Whelan will have signed a relegation warrent and the moaners would be right about his intentions. I can only see him going to a big club, not a tin pot outfit like Sjoke.

We paid £4m depending on goals and appearances.
£10m is a fantastic deal on our part BUT we MUST invest it in 2 other strikers if the rumour that Fuller is coming here as part of the deal is false.
Maybe there’s a clause in his contract that says he can only be transferred to a club which play in red and white stripes?
I’ve asked an acquaintance who would know for certain if this was true, and he was as surprised as I was.
Maybe he has been left out of the loop, but personally I will take that reaction as confirmation that this rumour is indeed twaddle, started by six fingered humanoids whose most valuable contributions to the world have been Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor and tea cups.
On which level would selling Hugo to a midtable side, for a very average striker and £10m be a good deal, will someone please enlighten me, because I cant see it.

Fantastic deal? – I think you are getting Hugo confused with either Koumas, Kapo or Scotland
£10m to our club is good money and would equal around £6m profit on Hugo in 12 months.
Also, you know what happens when a club waves money in front of Dave’s nose, he bites!
I don’t believe it’s true personally BUT like I said if it was then I would take Fuller and the cash providing we invest it in some good players.
Why do you rate Fuller as a very average striker? He has proved he has what it takes at this level and if you watch him he does some fantastic things on the ball and scores some really good goals. Hugo is a top player, i’m one of his biggest fans but everyone has a price and with £10m + a very decent striker in Fuller offered the price is right!
Fuller has scored 13 goals in 84 Premier League career appearances.
