Chris Hughton sacked by Forest. What’s the betting Leam gets linked?
16 September 2021 at 11:36 am #193969doubt it very much given his limited experience why would he leave a club he is building to go to one who burn through managers like they do ?
34 different managers according to wiki since clough left in 1993 which is one every 8 months !!!
We have had 19 different appointments in the same period , one every 1 and a half years.
The bookies have Chris Wilder as the favourite for the job at the moment , an impossible job that one it seems.16 September 2021 at 12:07 pm #193970Hope you right Vince but it’s only a matter of time till Leam becomes a wanted man.
16 September 2021 at 1:21 pm #193971Won’t our new owners want to tie him here if they think he is the one to take us the Championship table?
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
16 September 2021 at 3:00 pm #193972Spot on Jason, I’m not saying he will leave but he will be touted no doubt. I think Leam Like Roberto and many others has got the club. I also think it will take a huge offer to make him think about leaving. My point is that with every positive result Leam secures his stock will rise with the sporting media.
16 September 2021 at 6:33 pm #193973It’s a shame to see Chris Hughton go at Forest, it just goes to show how managers have a short shelf life in the modern game. What’s the chances of Paul Cook replacing him?
It does look like Leam Richardson is committed to Latics and Latics are committed to him, hopefully for a long time to come.
17 September 2021 at 8:09 am #193977There should be transfer windows for managers. If you sack them after 1 Sep, you cant appoint anyone from outside the club until 1 Jan.
The job as a football manager is nigh on impossible at most clubs, who have basket case owners, fans with unrealistic expectations and a media who thrive on negativity.

You would know
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
17 September 2021 at 9:07 am #193980Leam won’t go anywhere. Firstly, he is still a rookie manager. Secondly, our new owners have their “plan” which involves Leam as part of that plan.
19 September 2021 at 8:50 am #194018Clubs like Forest would want a big name anyway which with the utmost respect is not Leam.
You have recent ex premier league managers like Howe and Wilder out of work at the moment and many more besides and the shelf life of a sacked manager getting another job is very short before they are forgotten and out of the game.
The list of big name managers who have been sacked and faded out of the game is massive.
Paul Jewell , Ian Holloway , Steve Mcclaren ,Alan Curbishley are just a few examples and i could go on and on.
I would change the rules and insist a club has to give a minimum of a two year contract and only revoke in event of gross misconduct.
Everyone would know where they stood and the normal cycles of winning and losing would take place without people becoming hysterical.
The best managers in the history of the game where given time to build up their teams Alex Ferguson, Bill Shankly,Matt Busby , Brian Clough and our own Paul Jewell are a few examples. -
