Seems Heskey is once again falling foul of the media with his performance for England and even Martin O`Neil is leaving him on the bench these days , when will these big time charlies realise that staying at Wigan will not harm their chances but actually enhance them , we rescued Heskey from the wilderness and turned him into one of Englands best strikers , now he`s left us he is indeed returning to the place he was , pre Wigan.

id hardly say he was ever one of englands best striker ??

even when he was at LFC , he just held the ball up for owen

for a striker his goal return is pretty poor where ever he has been

Think i read yesterday that since he signed for Villa he’s only scored in two games – and one of those was on his debut.

When he left I predicted he would regret it.

He’s knocking on, slightly injury prone and doesn’t score enough. Saying all that he offers a lot as a target man, which is why Capello picks him. But as with a lot of players, his ego gets in the way. Instead of staying with us, playing less games, but regularly, (no Europe, limited cup runs) and saving some energy for England, he has to play at a “big” club (i.e bigger crowds), with loads of forwards where he’s not guaranteed a game.

I’ll predict now that he’ll be back with us on loan in the Jan window to get regular 1st team football for the world cup
