‘Holloway wants to snap up the talented Spaniard who is looking for a move for more regular football after being left on the fringes with Latics.’
This guy has got to be offered a new deal. With Alcaraz gone and a promise of more first team football, it’s a must he stays.
10 June 2013 at 11:41 pm #115771If the price is right he’ll be gone.
10 June 2013 at 11:49 pm #115772I might be missing the point in all this transfer, released, retained malarkey but if a player has “offer” against his name, does that not mean he has been offered a new contract, but as yet not signed it.??
If that’s the case then, unless another club come up with a better deal for the player, he remains with his current club. :blink:From Matlock to ManU

If that’s the case then, unless another club come up with a better deal for the player, he remains with his current club. :blink:Not quite, he is still out of contract irrespective of any offers, unless he signs a new one with us he can go where he wants.
The list just shows that we still want him and have offered him a new contract as opposed to just releasing him.
11 June 2013 at 12:16 am #115775If Holloway was planning to offer him a place in the 1st team then he could be offering PL 1st team wages… Albeit at the lower end.
I doubt any of the players who have an offer of contract will be eager to sign anything until a new manager is named.
All the more reason for Big Dave to make haste.

Regarding manager issue, I have that feeling whoever comes will do great. Supporters, remember, the mastermind is Whelan, nobody else.

Alistair Tomlinson @PutifarGolobart sad but a very good manager.

Not that sad, he just happens to love that suit!

At least they spelt Wembley right, Everton spelt it wrong last year.

He will open every interview with the words…”Good morning my names Dave Whelan and did you know I broke my leg………………………………………………………………………… ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….” :(

He’s been on granada late news about 15 mins ago, his latest statement was
“I’ve played in all 4 divisions so I know what a manager needs to be like, and what is needed to do the job well”, after watching it I am thinking of getting a bet on him making himself the new manager.
11 June 2013 at 3:25 am #115815I think Dave has closure now. We won’t hear about it ever again…….
