Seems like Grant liked the idea of getting himself fit then jumping ship. His Twitter account has magically dissapeared ! I wonder why :-
21 May 2015 at 11:58 am #142393Having spent all last season on loan or injured, I bet he’s fuming about having to take a relegation pay cut due to the inabilities of others he was deemed worse than, so little wonder his agent will be engineering a move to a bigger club.
21 May 2015 at 12:26 pm #142396if I heard it right, he says that if someone comes in for him then he can go on a free
21 May 2015 at 1:02 pm #142397That would make sense if we want him off the wage bill. I’m sure he came in on a free, and and any fee would probably be minimal anyway.
That said, you’d like to think, if he is fit, that he would get goals in League 1.
21 May 2015 at 1:04 pm #142398It’s called leaving your options open. The agent is making the running, and Holt leaves his options open.
If someone came in with a really good personal offer for him then he’d be daft not to consider it. But that’s a world away from him wanting away initiated by himself.
21 May 2015 at 1:29 pm #142400I would like to be the first to thank him for everything he hasn’t done for Wigan
Holt goes straight into my top 3 for the worse ever Latics buys
21 May 2015 at 1:42 pm #142403There is no big issue as far as Holt is concerned for me.
He must be one of the highest earners, but who would really offer for him now after his injury? It say more about the agent:-
He really thought a teenager was Sean Dyche?
He thought it was ok to take a call from the “Manager” of club to tap up his player directly.I guess it shouldn’t come as a surprise.
21 May 2015 at 5:23 pm #142424Prank or no prank, shouldn’t the agent and Holt handled it abit better like speak with Wigan see how they feel ? I would have liked to have heard the rest of the conversation that wasn’t recorded. I bet it was all about Man vs Food
The only problem was when Holt said I’ll be fit Aug/Sept he didn’t tell them what he meant was, the last time he was fit was Aug/Sept of 2009 the porker
21 May 2015 at 5:36 pm #142426Holt goes straight into my top 3 for the worse ever Latics buysReally? I know his signing has been a bit of an error, but top three worst?
28 May 2015 at 9:58 am #142578At least we now know what his intentions are and so I say get rid if we can and bring in a good young player in the mould of an Ellington or Roberts that would be fine if not then a youth team player would do for me over him any day of the week.
BTW that impression of Dyche was brilliant – I doubt we will have any takers.28 May 2015 at 3:16 pm #142585At least we now know what his intentions are and so I say get rid if we can and bring in a good young player in the mould of an Ellington or Roberts that would be fine if not then a youth team player would do for me over him any day of the week.
