Kirkland good, but I always thought Filan was awesome.
Leighton Baines obviously
Chimbonda even though he was a ******
De Zeuuw was great, but you cant fault Titus
Scharner due to Jackson so slow
Jimmy Bullard was awesome
Kavanagh, at the minute because this Gomez looks out his depth
Lee Mc Culloch was fantastic, wins this one
Teale was good lower league, but I think Thomas
Need i answer this one?
Jason Roberts was great and scored loads for us.I make that 8-3 to the class of 05, things dont look over promising mate do they?
3 September 2009 at 10:35 pm #7949Despite the way it looks, I suppose they deserve their chance. No matter my thoughts on you know who, the players deserve a fair crack of the whip. A nice break this weekend so lets hope that can have an impact. We can only really start calling for scalps if a three, then six, then eight point gap starts to appear off safety.
With the players Martinez has got and the money spent, if he keeps us up or possibly more, he would have proved his self to everyone.4 September 2009 at 12:45 am #7962Despite the way it looks, I suppose they deserve their chance. 4 September 2009 at 3:15 am #7979I’ve changed your squad around a bit, added a few different players, and I think it gives a different slant on things.

Yes, it was aclose call with the fullbacks.
I went with Melchiot because of his professionalism opposed to Chimbondas lack of professionalism.
i chose Figureoa, as I think he is better now than Baines was when he was with us.4 September 2009 at 11:07 am #7987Suppose it’s hard to compare as the players we are playing are different quality due the vast amounts of money. Last game of last season, the song Mario got near the end of the game was brilliant. The previous team gave more pleasure, but that’s not to say this one won’t. I will come clean now and stop the postings on Whelan, but to be honest the reasons for the posts were to wind some of our fans up and were being quite succesful. The team, chairman and manager may well be doing all they can, the sad thing is the fans are not. I have never known such a depressingly quiet set of fans. Robertos first game in charge and we greet him with a wall of silence. Even against ManU, the usual atmosphere even up to half time was missing. Wether we have 2000 or 20000, the fans should still be supporting the team and so far this season, that has not happened. The fans so far this season have been pathetic and nobody can argue otherwise. If the crowd really is the 12th man, at home were playing a man short.

The fans so far this season have been pathetic and nobody can argue otherwise. If the crowd really is the 12th man, at home were playing a man short. It’s been the same for years I’m afraid, and I would have to hold up my hand as being as guilty as the next man. The problem is that in a crowd of 76,000 at Old Trafford, for example, there will be many, many quiet ones but they are compensated for by the more vocal ones. Let’s say that even 10% of our home 12,000 are hard-core “singers” they will simply rattle around in the JJB. We need a drum and a trumpet :geek:
Oh, and you may or may not have just been winding us all up about Whelan but that still leaves a good few who are talking nonsense ;)
4 September 2009 at 12:28 pm #7989Listen to this video all the way through. Also we were losing at the time. Something we have not done so far this season, but listening to it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I reckon this sort of support would be enough to make the players feel we are worth the extra effort, but whats the odds of giving it.
4 September 2009 at 1:55 pm #8005we have progressed very well. I am delighted we have been here 5 years and if we go down we can experience promotion again when we com back up. as our club is run without the debt of the “big” clubs we would survive in the championship just like West Brom, Birmingham etc.
We are a well run “small” club with a “small” fan base and are in teh “big” league.
