44 points last season Doncaster down, Birmingham safe.

That would need us to get 22 points from 17 games, having got 22 from 29.

44 points looks a very long way off at the moment. We might need 50

Last season we got 73 for 5th place. That’s 51 points off where we are now, with 17 games to go. My many years of watching darts tells me that’s treble 17

8 wins and a couple of draws.

Anyway, Fulham beginning to sink !
Although we are not in a good place right now, if we can gain momentum we might be better equipped for the relegation dogfight than a team losing ground and starting to panic. Bye, bye Fulham or Charlton.

    C’mon Malky’s army !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Far too many to save this season Im afraid and after Saturday and seeing the ‘new look’ team against Bournemouth I’d be surprised if we pass the 30 point mark never mind suddenly find promotion form which I think will be needed to get out of this mess.
the real rot set in when they sacked Rosler and the home form deteriorated even further from picking up a point at least to a run of steady defeats and an air of defeatism as they step on the pitch.I reckon we would have had more points on the board had we stuck with Rosler and let him sort out the team but as it stands we have what we have and this team is just not good enough to survive in this division.
I hate being negative and have always tried to find positives in any situation but the table doesn’t lie and the two bottomplaces have been sorted in my opinion ,far too much ground to make up and far too many faults to correct at this late stage.
      Dramatic rise ,dramatic fall.

Welcome to the real World, a World where people can see things for what they really are! It’s not being negative at all! I saw this rot a few months back and acted by putting that bet on, I thought ” Right, I am at least gonna have a cushion to break our fall “

The average to stay up over the last 10 seasons is 46.6 points – in two seasons, 52 and 54 have seen Leicester & Peterborough relegated, and when Pompey went down with 40 (10 pt deduction), they actually accrued 50 points, which would have sent Barnsley down with 48.

Seeing as most teams around the bottom are already on 33 or more, and still all have to play each other, I reckon that 48 points will be the magic figure this year.

The games against Charlton, Cardiff & Blackpool in the space of a week will determine whether March & April will be a slow funeral march or not.

I have us getting another 11 points if I’m being honest.
