Since winning the cup how marvellous is it to see the press reporting on wigan being a well run club with a fantastic support. The usual press reports were on how we had no fans and did not derserve to be a premier league club. During my 35 years following the club around the country the support has never changed always top draw even during the Kenyon era. Just shows you the press report on what THEY think and not the truth .Winning the cup has opened there eyes that we are a great club with good support. :cheer:

We are a very attractive club to play for at Championship level.

Certainly we are. FA Cup holders, playing in Europe guaranteed 6 games..very few Championship clubs look as attractive (although I am slightly biased ;) )
Just hoping the Europa League factor will enable us to keep existing players who would have gone for certain otherwise.
3 July 2013 at 11:25 pm #117252I’m still not convinced the Europa Cup is an attraction at all.
We’ve learned that two competitions are too much – let’s concentrate on the League.
We can send the second team to Rhyl – the first team has 42 big games to play.

Which team will play in the other four games, or are you confident we’ll be up with four games to spare.

It’s 46 games

Surely that’s enough to be going on with.
