    Has it come to this.
Uncle Dave always had the security and long term future of the club as the main priority. He would never make foolhardy decisions re signings or wage demands that would jeopardise the stability of WAFC. Yet he still managed to bring astonishing success whilst keeping us on an even keele. Fast forward to now under Royle and his band of performing idiots and we are in a right Royle mess. Forget this season we are gone and no chance of turning it around. The frightening thing is the near future under a babbling moron who is pinning the Hope’s of the club on Football Manager for christ sake. It’s now getting beyond ridiculous its serious. I keep hoping I will wake from this nightmare and we will actually be comfy in mid table but it’s no dream this is real. How can we have gone from Div 1 title winners to this shambolic situation in such a short time. Its worrying very worrying .

If we go down we go down so be it. What annoys me is the manner we’ll go down. I’ve just read an article by Mowbray regarding Mulgrew before he signed for us, a Blackburn fan:-
“Mobray said at the time of his departure that he couldn’t see regular game time for him, with a deterioration in his pace being brutally exposed at both full-back and centre-back on a regular basis”.

So what do we do ?, Sign him for 12 months. It’s choices like this plus signing players with an awful injury history and the wrong side of 30 who are now clogging up our wage bill.

Cooks loyalty to certain players regardless of their current form Massey Morsey and Evans come to mind. The bringing in of players who are then sent straight on loan ???. We are not fcukin Chelsea or Utd. When we sign a player we should be signing that player to challenge for a starting position.

The youth system ?, waste of time tbh. It’s like having a 2nd weekend drive, looks good on the drive but never to be used.

The Geldhart saga compared to a certain 16 year old Jude Bellingham at Birmingham. Bellingham has taken part in 26 Championship/Cup games this season playing over 1500 minutes the equivalent to 16 full games.

In our predicament Geldhart should be used more. The Leicester game was the perfect time to throw the lad in but Cooks unwillingness and the way he totally pushes the youth system in the bin says it all.

Cook even said after the Swansea game that we could have nicked a draw with abit more experience in the side.
Swansea only had 2 players over 25, Cook has a short memory, its experienced players (out of form or injured) who have put us in the sh1t.

Cook needs to go asap. We need a manager willing to gamble as we’ve nothing to lose. A manager no scared of dropping the likes of Massey, Morsey, Evans.
A manager not scared of dipping into the youth, not starting but certainly subs and get them integrated when were thin on the ground.
When you are well over the half way mark of a season and Dunkley who’s not playing is your top scorer you have problems.

Even Jacob’s has a goal but more importantly 3 assists. Thats more assists than Evans, Morsey, Garner, Pilkington, Windass all put together.

Then were talking of moving in for Wells from QPR. Great but and a big but who’s going to set them up for him ?. So he has probably looked at that sh1t and decided to opt for Bristol City.

As above we have no one at the club. Moore can score at International level when he’s picked out with a quality ball but at Wigan ? Tumbleweed.

No experienced goal scoring forward in there right mind would go to club in the position we are in and risk a better move in the summer. Cook has to use what he has at his disposal and use it better and stop subbing for the fcukin sake of it. Subbing has probably cost us a lower to mid table position

We need a total overall starting with the manager, new ideas, a breath of fresh air. If we then go down then so be it but under the current regime 2/5 to go down is a dam good bet.

Whelan made plenty of mistakes. Sacking Mathias, appointing Benson, dropping Barlow because he dared ask for more money, Chris Hutchings, Owen Coyle, Malky Mackay.

Before FFP it was easy for him to splash the cash to bet us to the promised land and keep us there. When he opted to stabilise the club he was ridiculed for it.

Cook isn’t going to get sacked. He’s the man the club want whether we like it or not. The lad at Birmingham might have played but he’s now leaving.

Birmingham had the guts to play the lad and will be rewarded with a massive 30 mill plus for him. Our lads wont make it here under Cooko the clown and will eventually move on for peanuts.

I never mentioned splashing the cash just utilising what we have at hand would give us half a chance.

Brentford have made a profit of £37 million in the last 5 years proving astute buying and selling you can comfortably hold your own in this League both on and off the field.

And as you pointed out, yes Dave Whelan did make plenty of mistakes but been the clever businessman he was he never messed around when he realised the wrong person was at the helm unlike our current owners.

Cook got lucky last season with the likes James and Powell (when fit) and Clarke who decided to start playing with about 6-8 games to go. We do not have anything like that this year to save our bacon.

And as for Bellingham ?, Birmingham knew what they have and they made sure they had him in the shop window for as much as they possibly could for a lad only 16. So far he’s played 1500 minutes of football this season proving if your good enough age doesn’t matter.

But Cook has decided to put Geldhart back in storage for a rainy day when its pissin down cats and dogs outside.

I held high hope’s when the new owners came in but like the owners of Blackburn have found out, a bachelors degree in business studies won’t help you a sod in British football unless you get the right man in charge something we don’t have right now and we will for sure pay the price.

So would you be happy if we sold Joffy?

No egg I would be happy if he played. We have history at doing this sooner or later Sam Cosgrove will cost someone a king’s ransom yet we would never persevere with him. The season is lost anyway now so what is the use of picking the same old tired players who churn out one bad result after another.

Why? Because he scores goals in Scotland? My Gran could do that and she’s been dead 12 years.

If he played as often as this Birmingham lad apparently has and is as good as people say then what do you think would happen? He’d leave. I’m not saying we shouldn’t play him so we keep him, but to highlight Birmingham selling a player as a reason to play him seems a bit daft to me and i’m pretty sure there would be as much uproar if he was sold

Think if he played 20 games, scored 4 goals and we sold him for 30 million which we could spend on strengthening the squad most of us would be pretty happy.

Exactly the point Roy, Joffy could easily be as good if not better than Bellingham but Brum got him in and playing. Utd would never offer that for an academy player and that’s what Joffy will be as long as Cooko the clown is manager. Nobody wants the lad to leave but if his chances are limited sooner or later he will want to move on to continue his development.

We have a production line of great young talent coming through and most of them will have a bearing on the financial stability of the club. Whilst our public prefer watching the Greed League on Sky rather than supporting the Latics it will always be so. Like any product though they will need to be seen in the right place at the right time and that will mean having to play some first team football sooner rather than later.
