Explain the logic….
Moses is a threat all the first half, gave O’Shea the runaround and 5live commentators saying how Martinez team talk should be focussed on ‘get the the ball to Moses in the second half’….no..no.no not in Bobby world…
Bobby logic kicks in when we are still in the game at 1 0 down. Lets negate our opportunities..Take Moses off after 65 , lose the width, pace and breakaway threat he brings and replace him with a toothless, forward who has scored 1 goal in 50 odd premier games
Oh and Bobby did the same tactical masterstroke at Bolton away as well when Moses has Ricketts on toast…
Thanks Bob….I obviously have a lot to learn about tactics,
26 February 2011 at 8:38 pm #60454Come on Parbold, Moses was on his last legs!!.
He ran himself into the ground first half and his legs just went after 65 mins.Nothing at all to do with Bobby’s tactics. :hand:
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!26 February 2011 at 8:42 pm #60455I reckon even Victor’s older brother would have been no use today.
26 February 2011 at 8:46 pm #60457Last legs???????? Did you go to the game mate?
26 February 2011 at 8:52 pm #60459Come on Parbold…Utd didnt get out of second gear!!!

I thought Moses was poor today. I would have taken him off also. However, his fitness played a big part in bobbys decision to take him off. I don’t think the boy is match fit yet

26 February 2011 at 10:54 pm #60471Sorry, I’ve not got the hang of this quote Thingy yet. My bit was the Moses should have come off cause not fit and was poor, bit. :happy-partydance:
26 February 2011 at 11:02 pm #60473The bit I didnt get was that we were getting some joy with the width in the 1st half, so tactical genius MArtinez puts Charlie just behind Hugo, totally negating him, then as you say takes Moses off (was he shattered, not sure?)
26 February 2011 at 11:18 pm #60474Considering the hype that came with the moses signing. He has nowhere near fulfilled his potential. Not a premiership footballer in my eyes. If he is, then he needs to start showing it as his performances are more often than not below average.

I was impressed with Moses today, but he wouldn’t have had the legs to keep going the entire game. One thing that worries me is why he wouldn’t simply place N’Zogbia out there and bring on somebody like Gomez to sit behing Hugo, and bringing off Watson for McArthur to maintain our slow player quota.
