Its the manner of the loss and recently to teams bang out of form. This time Hull City, a side who’d not won in 6 scoring 3 goals.

The defending is the worse I’ve seen at the DW. Players who cannot tackle beggars belief how they’ve managed to be chosen to put our shirt on is beyond me.
Tilt ?, as poor as it gets,
Wotton and Darwika couldn’t tackle me after a Saturday session.
We were better off with the young lads cause at least we had an excuse. And Proctor ? Give me strength. 12 goals in 7 years.

We are nailed on to go down and one last one Richardson has alot to answer for in tonight’s team selection.

When we played all the young lads we had an excuse. This lot ? Seasoned pro’s ?. If you put a shift in like that on the shop floor you’d get the sack.

Totally agree with all of that, never mind a message to the players on a banner will put things right.

        Fuck the EFL

I went into this season expecting relegation with a few hidings along the way.

We’ve seen some good displays, we’ve seen some shockers.

I’ll be honest, we’re exactly where I thought we would be.

I’m more concerned what happens off the field though TBH.

I beleive you cant enter a 2nd season in Administration. Assuming nobody stumps up the cash to buy you, at what point does your position in the EFL become intenable? Is it on kick-off day of the 21/22 season, or is it the day the fixtures are announced?

I know Bury’s expulsion was delayed, and L1 had 23 teams, but they went into meltdown a lot quicker – I guess they didnt have the playing assets to sell off.

My big worry now is that any potential buyer will offer a lower amount and take the 15 point deduction this season ,but out of spite the admin will delay any takeover to make sure the points are deducted next season.

For us to entice any potential owner we first must show there’s still some fight in both the players and manager.
To me, some of these lot are not even at non league level they are simply not good enough.
Now you can tell me all kinds of crap about admin and money whatever I’m on about players who’d look at home over Little Lane on a Sunday.

When we played the young lads they lacked experience but they were mainly comfortable in possession and lacked nothing in effort.

These lot ?, Jesus Christ ! I was clapping whenever someone passed forward or didn’t hump it.
I’ve said this in the past, what TF is the point of a youth system that when you are knee deep in sh1t you dump them all and replace with players who are here looking for a stop gap till the summer window opens.

If we are taken over not one of these new comers deserve a contract not a fcuking single one that’s unless they can warm up pies properly.
Worse side ever to play for Wigan at the DW stadium.

Statistically they are exactly that Cuppy aye.

We have hardly dumped the kids though. Still playing the likes of Merrie and Lang. Robinson will come back in as will Asgaard as will Joseph.

We’ve released 3 kids and 2 of them never played anyway.

                #190958

The usual “let’s find someone or something to blame” attitude. Be slagging Paul Cook off next for not picking these lads last season to give them experience.

Again it comes down to expectations and reality.

Playing the kids every week and losing every week will do nothing for their development. Some are also nearer to being first team ready than others. Don’t forget, these are the same kids that some people slagged off when we lost to Chorley.

The club has to do everything it possibly can to try to stay in this division so has tried to bring in some experience, but the stark reality is we will more than likely go down.

The players we have brought in are in the main, no good. They’re the players nobody else wants. But one thing they do have is that they signed for us wanting to play football. They all know the situation in terms of money and won’t be on big wages. The loan lads might even still be getting paid by their parent club. There is nobody currently at the club for a pay day or for an easy life.

We’re no longer a big (ish) name in this league and will no doubt be starting our next chapter in the bottom tier. To expect anything else is just madness.

Im not usually one to criticise players or the team. However in some respects I get where cupwinners is coming from. Take for example the 2nd goal we conceded last week vs Oxford. I haven’t seen defending like that since my son played at under 7 level.

I do appreciate the fact these guys are turning out for our club & I too expected us to be where we are in the table. But come on, surely they should know the basics of defending.

Most of our fans are absolute idiots Ad. I’d go as far as to say, they are utterly retarded.

For two seasons they have done nothing but slag off Paul Cook and the players because we weren’t challenging at the top of a league in which we were paupers. (Looking where the promoted sides are currently will show you the level of that league)

There were some calling for his head and wanting to appoint people like Nigel Pearson and Neil Warnock. Jesus…imagine the debts if we did something like that.

A few have tried to tell these fans that we have no money and that to survive in the Championship is an uphill task for us but they wouldn’t listen. The fact we had to rely on over £1m a month investment just to balance the books shows you how tough.

Enter administration, and the same group of fans are mouthing off about this that and the other and have literally no idea what state the club is in or how these things play out. Praising players who basically walked out on us and did everything they could to get away.

Start of the season some of these “experts” thought we would win the league. JESUS FUCKING CHRIST. No players, but we were going to win the league.

When we are in the exact position that we should be in and giving our everything, these same fans criticise the players, the manager and anyone else throwing shit around like “worst team ever”

I can almost understand it from the new breed who have seen PL, Championship and think we can come down to L1 and bully clubs with parachute payments, but the old breed who know what troubles we have had before and what size of a club we are going on about shit like that is just ridiculous.

I came off the likes of twitter recently because the #wafc handle is just full of these idiots.

You’re right, the defending is terrible but again that goes back to the fact that these players aren’t good enough, and as JayT said on another thread, we don’t actually have any coaches or any analysts to try and give them a helping hand.

It’s annoying, it’s depressing but as the saying goes it is what it is. We can’t bring anyone in that is any better.

I saw the quote from Leam Richardson what someone had posted on Facebook yesterday. It was spot on about having no chairperson, coaches etc. We cannot bring in anyone better – that is absolutely true. But these players should know the very basics of basic defending. Regardless of how good or bad they are.

                    #190968

Course they know the basics of defending, they’re just shit and make more cock ups than less shit players.

With no defensive coaches there will be nobody pointing out their mistakes and looking at ways of improving them. We look like a side from Little Lane because we are one.

I will agree though that Curtis Tilt is a terrible footballer and his history shows that. He wouldn’t get anywhere near our starting 11 if I was picking the side TBH.
