Highs:
Moses’ goal
Moses’ celebration
Scharner’s hair
Attendance
Gohouri’s performance
Gohouri’s goal
Watson and McCarthy
Possesion and dominating
Pitch invasion (just celebrating a goal, no harm caused and just like the old away days – division 1, 2 and 3)Lows:
A draw
Rodallega’s performance
Officials (that 1st goal was a joke, their 2nd was offside and Dowd is the worst ref in the prem)
JORDI GOMEZ!
STOJKOVIC!On the whole, we played OK and dominated the game but as someone has pointed out in a previous thread individual performances made us look bad (Gomez and Stojkovic). Gomez was awful, I try to get behind him as I do with every Wigan player BUT he has proved time after time he isn’t good enough! Stojkovic was at fault for their 1st goal, should have got to the ball for their 2nd and had my heart stopping every time he touched the ball. I hope Gomez can come good in time but yesterday his touch was awful and apart from a couple of shots + passes he was a passenger all game.
I thought Watson and McCarthy were fantastic in midfield, Diame is very consistent + Gohouri was my man of the match.
Considering we were without Bramble and Zog (2 of our best players) we did well and deserved to win the game.
The worst thing about the game were their 2 goals, partly due to the defending and goalkeeping but mainly down to the offfials part! Terrible!

4 May 2010 at 7:37 pm #31794I have to say I was concerned yesterday, if that what next season will be like without N’Zogbia without a replacement I’m quite worried, that was against a below strength Hull side aswell.
I have to say I was happy with Gohouri and McCarthy, both had solid games.
I thought we kept possession well too, but Rodallega was static and didn’t work the channels atall, which gave the midfielders no forward pass, meaning they had to go sideways or backwards.
Moses scored a great goal, but after that he was average, I think Melchiot underlined why he won’t be here next season and don’t even get me started on Stojkovic.

Fear ye not. In the latest Roberto Martinez propaganda interview with the websites, Bobby states that if N’Zogbia is sold it will be on Latics terms & ready made replacements are already in the bag
If Bobby says it, it must be true ;)

If you watch the highlights, you can see Caldwell’s reaction (which nearly earned him a booking) saying the defence had stopped because they saw the flag. They had 2 players offside and the cross was aimed to one of them + the other was stood right next to the keeper so were they or weren’t they interfeirring with play???!!! Have you seen their 2nd goal? He was a mile offside!
