Whereas you choose to believe every pundit that slags off Wigan. What’s the difference?

as well as being the self proclaimed sage of this board, you are now announcing your latest talent – knowing my thoughts – grow up griff.

whether you agree with me or not, give me credit for having my own thoughts that are based on what i see, rightly or wrongly, and not on some rubbish penned by an idiot using false off the cuff cliches that have no foundation, somewhat like you have done in your reply.

I don’t have to credit anybody with anything. And I certainly don’t need to grow up. I’m not the one who gives myself a coronary every time a football team fails to win a match.

is that another off the cuff cliche ?

take a look at my posts and show me where there is evidence of your statement- my responses on here for months have been because the “LIGHTSIDE” go into attack is the best form of defence mode everytime we lose.

The top and bottom of it is,there are fans out there who will find fault with what ever bob does and really believe we should be challengeing for the title and champions league……..get real……we are starting to turn the corner.Charlie Nic at dinner time said “DW has backed roberto which is the right thing to do not like sullivan at wet spam who has said they are down now, what does that tell your team,DW is a football man who knows what roberto is doing will take time.

charlie nicholas also said in his post match report that is on skyplayer now –

“wigan scored against the run of play then dropped back 10 yards to try and hit everton on the counter -which didnt work because everton had all the play”

so which is it -nicholas is right because he supports your theory on whelan/martinez – or nicholas is right because he says we sat back as some on here also think ?

i somehow think that, like martinez supporters always do,you will be selective in which story to believe and will use any nomarks view if it suits you.

which ever way you look at it we should have won today and were damn unlucky not to do so – but if we invite teams to come on to us after taking the lead(which has happened for the last 3 weeks including when we were 3-0 up at blackpool) they will eventually punish us and despite our numerous missed chances that has been the story of this season.[/quote]
Where in my post did i mention anything about todays game?
I said that some fans will find fault and that DW has backed bobby unlike wet spam who are resigned to the fact they are down already, which is the right thing to do

For one i am not an IDIOT but if it makes you feel like a man calling people names you crack on!
Do you not think it is the right thing to do at this time of the season by coming out giving the manager support?

      Are you THAT bored today?

quite busy actually – just came for a cuppa and watch second half of arse v utd game before i crack on with sorting out the garage and finally getting rid of all the crap i have never used and added to since i moved here 13 years ago – so i just had a look on here and decided against my better judgmentto answer another allegation aimed in my direction.

back to the arsenal game a win for them + a win for chelsea next week will be good for us -it would mean chelsea above utd with a better goal diff and they would probably need to score as many as possible v blackpool.

So from the moment we scored to the moment they scored we didnt `sit back`?

No we didn’t. Contrary to Charlie Nicholas’ comments, we took a deserved lead and rode out the half well in what must have been quite a tense and nervy environment.

The balance in pressure always swings in tight games like this and Everton were bound to push us at the start of the second half. We did very well, esp. considering N’Zogbia was carrying a knock. Moses deputised superbly.

The reason we didn’t win was cos we gave away a careless penalty and gave them pretty much their only chance – not a lack of attacking pressure.
Their assistant manager said we were terrific to watch towards the end of the match and I’d take his comments over a “pundit” anyway.

I only saw the game on Football First as i was reffing but even as a fully paid up member of the darkside I have very little to complain about from Saturday’s game either from the players or manager

Yes, it was an idiotic handball from Rodallega but these things have happened to far better players than him.

On the performance itself, I sat watching it at times on Sunday morning thinking Latics were playing some really good stuff. On top of that they were creating chances & on top of that rather than the failure to convert these chances being down to poor finishing (as has often been the case) it was more often down to some top notch goalkeeping
I couldn’t tell from the footage whether Latcis sat back after going in front but the stats show pretty much even possession & Latics having far more efforts at goal. The match reports I read also mentioned the quality of Latcis defending

Looking forward when i did that BBC predictor I had this game down as a draw & Latics stilll staying up so that doesn’t change my outlook in that respect (although we could have done without Blackburn winning as i think they’ll get at least 1 point from their remaining games which’ll probably be enough to stay up). I’m a little more optimistic that Latics can get somet from Villa after seeing how both teams fared at the weekend but the darkside in me still thinks it unlikely that the team can put in 2 positive performances in a row & that they’ll be a blip in there somewhere

          :text-goodpost:

I too thought it was a good performance but I’m afraid I completely missed the “sitting back part of the game”.
I too predicted a draw and feel we are still on a survival path.
