I live in Leyland and work in Preston and the surrounding area and I have put up with so much c r a p off Nob End fans over the years that their relegation was so sweet for me !! They are a deluded bunch of toss bags who live off the name of Tom Finney ! They really do believe that they are still a big club ! Well good riddance to em thats what I say ! You would be upset if Bolton went down as well no doubt !!! I think you may have lost something since moving away ! A sense of RIVALRY ! The mind really does boggle ! :violin:

Its not that Fil and im back living in Shevvy, but for fook sake the last thing i wanna do is even think about relegation no matter who it is. In a couple of weeks we will probably be in mourning ourselves so dont you think its a bit previous to celebrate Prestons demise?. Dont forget you reap what you sow so be prepared to be ridiculed if we go the same way. As for rivalry i would rather go to Deepdale,Reebok etc and have the banter than go to the likes of Milwall or Cardiff. You go ahead and gloat coz they have gone down, me, ill wait to see our outcome before i worry what others have done.

What goes around come around as far as i’m concerned. they are a arrogant bunch trust me on that one. when we were relegated back in the day and they came up from division 4 they did my swede in. when they went up as champions and we missed out under Benson they were unbearable!. if you have everyday dealings with them you will know were i am coming from. they were singing to Burnley fans we are superior now if that is not a serious bad case of delusions of grandeur then what is.

The chance we may go down is my whole point ! I have accepted for quite a while now that we may very well go down whilst they ( All the ones I know ) have been in denial about their demise, even when they were something like 12 points adrift all I got was ” We are too big a club to go down and we will get out of it and be playing you next season ” Also stuff like ” We deserve to be in the Prem and not little tin pot clubs like you ” etc etc etc ! So sorry, but even though we may go down and to be honest I think we may just do that, I will lord it over those deluded dick heads come rain or shine !! :dance:
Fair comment Fil but to be honest we have had that all the 40 odd yrs ive been a supporter. Every club from Crewe to Rochdale have lorded over us at some stage and we have always had to put up with the drivel “rugby town, no fans were bigger than you ” rubbish. But the magical part of being a Tic is that one by one we have picked them all off and left them in our wake. We have gone from beating Chester to Chelsea, Aldershot to Arsenal and Preston. So if someone is giving me the Billy Bigboots gumf i simply ask them to match the success ive enjoyed and seen as a Wigan Athletic supporter, soon shuts them up.
