Last season we had 14 points fron the opening 13 games. This season we have 14 points from the opening 13 games. I’d hardly call that progress.
After 14 games we had 17 points, so lets see how much more progress is made next Saturday.
The term progress was meant in a far broader sense than the number of points frm the same number of games.
I’ve been one of Bobby’s biggest critics on this board but I can see some progress in terms of the quality of players brought in, the system he is emplying, the way the players play that system, how they defend, the number of games lost, the performances in those games
There’s still a long way to go imo & I wish the progress had been & would continue to be faster but progress it most definitely has beenI wish Whelan would have a word regarding corners a la Rioch. The defending at corners is awful no one on either post, people being left unmarked etc

The chances of ricochets etc is so much higher, and if we had one, two or even three men out of the box the other team would have to leave more out, and we have the chance of a breakaway.
And as for putting men on the post…
And as for short attacking corners…..

The goal on Saturday came out of a baggie set piece if you remember.
Graeme Jones shouted to Zog to get back behind the ball then suddenly when we all started shouting ger him up, he suddenly waved him forward. The ball came straight out to Zog and the rest is history. :o ;) :PFrom Matlock to ManU
