? Why not ? Last Saturday league game away was a great atmosphere and great performance , any trip to the north-east is a cracker ,new signing on view , chance of 3 points and turning over Bruce , no brainer NOT to go .
Instead , the same old names will be on here straight after the match , moaning ,complaining ,slagging each other off .
Well Steph, I won’t be going, and this is as good a time as any, I guess, to promote my upcoming book. 8-)
It is called ARSED, scheduled to be published at the season’s end (if I can be arsed) and deals with the difficulties and frustrations that some of us sometimes face justifying and wangling trips to football matches.
With respect to your thread, I think it deserves its own. ;)
I shall be in Liverpool for most of the day on Saturday and watching the mighty Ocean Colour Scene at the Academy in the evening. Not that i need to justify to anyone why i wont be at that match.
Some people do have lives away from football.
If they choose not to go then that is entirely up to them. Even if the reason is “I just cant be arsed today”.
I fear the wrath of the message board by being able to comment on a game I have been to ! I thik the rules on here say you can only comment if you have read the daily star report only !
I’m actually going with some Bar Code fans in the Sunderland end.
Think it will be interesting to see if the home fans moan as much as ours do !
LH – I sat in the Gallowgate end with the Newcastle fans watching Latics in 06/07. They moaned far more than us, usually when Bramble put 1/100th of a foot wrong.
