Could Sinclair get a start on the left, with Scotland and Rodders up front…or will Gomez play behind Scotland?
22 October 2009 at 7:51 pm #11009100% Gomez!!.
It looks like Bobby thinks Sinclair is too much of a luxury or will not fit into his game plan for some reason, otherwise he would have been in from day one.The boy has looked total class when unleashed and I have been expecting him to start every game since the villa match, when he came on and tormented their defenders for 15- 20 mins or so.
I reckon this mon could destroy the likes of Caldwell, Carlise and Alexander that are without doubt “championship players” at best. :o
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!22 October 2009 at 10:14 pm #11022Sinclair must be shite in training, thats all i can think

23 October 2009 at 11:51 am #11032Exactly – if your manager states in the press that “we never play 4-4-2” I can’t see him changing that philosophy less than a week later

It looks like Bobby thinks Sinclair is too much of a luxury or will not fit into his game plan for some reason, otherwise he would have been in from day one.I think it’s more a case of Martinez wanted to stay with his 1 up and 1 just behind formation. He could keep this shape and put Rodallega up top with Sinclair left, dropping Scotland altogether but I just don’t think he will.
So, if it’s a straight swap for Scharner, the smart money would be on Gomez coming back in or – and here’s a controversial one – Kapo instead. :o
23 October 2009 at 5:10 pm #11043I think it will be Gomez in, as that is the usual sub whens Scharns comes off. 4-4-2 is not going to happen, the sooner people come round to this the better. Its working well up to now, sort the teathing problems out and were laughing.
23 October 2009 at 6:39 pm #11048Maybe sinclair doesn’t fit in with the long term plan (as he is only on loan), unless chelsea over turn their transfer market ban, he will be going back to chelsea. So he uses him as an impact player.

So he uses him as an impact player.I’d still like to see him have a full game, on the left with Rodallego replacing Scotland.
And if Gomez does come in, I hope for his sake he has a good ‘un. Even that might not be enought to save him from the wrath of some around our club.
