6 games to go , what game if we are lucky will we officially get promoted and how many points will it take, i reckon Doncaster away and 83 points.
9 April 2016 at 1:11 am #147950We can’t be officially promoted at Donny, at best we could be on 83, with Walsall being able to match us and Gillingham only able to get 82.
Think Burton might be the game, that’s the one result I’m convinced of..we will beat them. Can see with everyone playing that night, us and Burton both being promoted that night

Burton have two tough games next so when we meet that could be the one that sees us promoted.
9 April 2016 at 10:51 pm #147968Burton can now get caught by bradford.

If we beat Donny next week and Burton don’t beat Barnsley we could take the title with victory at the Pirelli. I don’t see Bradford dropping another point so we would need 86 points to be sure. I reckon Gills v Walsall will be a draw which puts them both out of the picture and Millwall play Gills last game of season. Looking good.
10 April 2016 at 2:00 am #147974Currently Gillingham and Walsall can attain 86 points and 89 points respectively. Even if they draw Thesday Walsall can still get 87 meaning we are relying on more than Burton dropping points for us to win the league at the Pirelli or even gain promotion. If Burton get at least a point Saturday we technically can’t win the league at their ground as they will still be able to get 86 points regardless of their result against us.
10 April 2016 at 2:33 am #147975If we had beaten Blackpool, Donny,Owdham and Peterborough at home like we should have done then we would be champions now and wouldn’t be frigging about with all these connatations.

Like I said I don’t see Bradford dropping a point which includes them playing Walsall at V P. Officially we cant win it then but it would take one hell of a collapse by us and Burton going on an amazing scoring spree for them to overhaul us.

I always remember one of our assemblies at school. Our head of year discussed the “if only” philosophy of life.
For eg, i didnt renew my season ticket last season as i thought i wouldnt be able to get to as many games (due to work) as what i actually have done this season. If only i had have renewed as it would have saved me £20 next season.Getting back on subject. It would take a major drop in form now to stop us getting promoted. Where the likes of burton & walsall it would seem are starting to get nervy, we on the other hand have come good at the right time. Plus we have strength in depth.

Correct NL, and our goal difference is worth that extra point needed to lift the title. Burton v Barnsley is a tough one to call as both seem to be struggling. I reckon a draw and if it is, and we beat Burton, then…… :pinch:
It is possible…
12 April 2016 at 1:11 pm #1480549 points from the next 3 and the fat lady is singing guaranteed.
We can be promoted at Burton if results go right with Walsall.
12 April 2016 at 1:27 pm #148055I think both promotion and title will come at our place v Sarfend and it would be nice to do it in front our own folk.
