Yes between Caldwell and Joyce there is a marked resembelence to Rosler and Malky.
But never mind we are on the right tracks financially apparently and that’s all that matters above.

Said it for a while ._.We need a fresh start with new owners the whelans have done their bit too be proud off
But thats behind us now._.Under this current regime have we had our most relegations if we go down this year._and all because of incompetent management by selling our best and replacing with shyte
Thing is who would buy us ? Thats the bottom line nobody would where fxxxxd and stuck with failed fish fryer

As much as you take the piss and call Sharpe ‘Chippy Boy’, ‘Fish Fryer’ or whatever other chip-shop related jibe you can think of, his family bailed the club out of the mire, and he and JJ are keeping it relatively self-sufficient.

Nobody other than a millionaire Wiganer would invest in us because we’re not an attractive proposition.

I’m happy that I have a local football club to support, and if that’s in League One, then so be it.

Here here, standish. I dont want us to go down, but if we do, i’ll still be there (work permitting).

Anyway, according to the super computer forecaster thingy, it will be burton & bristol city to go down with us finishing 4th from bottom. A position i would have been happy with at the start of this season.

The way I see it is the whole season has been a catalogue of needless errors. Too many changes made close season and Caldwell rightly paid the price. Joyce has a job to steady it and indeed has done to the fact that nobody gives us a beating. We always lose by the odd goal and that is the managers fault. His sole emphasis seems to be on flooding midfield to stifle the opposition. He is totally unable to get the balance between midfield and attack. If we had scored just 6 more goals losses would have been draws and draws victories. Grigg is coming in for some terrible criticism but the lad has seen countless changes behind him and its understandable why he is struggling. The way Joyce sets up I doubt that it matters how many strikers we use until he finds the right mix. Frustrating thing is we are not far off at all we just need to be more adventurous.

Obviously I think most of us on here would support the club regardless of the division we are in and in most cases have done just that. What is infuriating me at the moment is that we seem to be accepting that relegation is going to happen.

Of course in January we had to look at both the possibility of surviving and also going down which is why Yanic had to go for the price he did as we wouldn’t get anywhere near that if we went down and HAD to sell, but the signings we made all seemed to me to be in preperation for League One. Young lads with an exciting future. I’m sorry but that isn’t going to get us out the mire. We needed to sign someone who has battled before and knows what it takes to survive a relegation battle. I think we needed that in the Manager’s chair as well.

The substitutions on Saturday were the final straw for me, obviously I hope we get out this mess but I just cannot see it and it looks like another re-building phase only this time we won’t have parachute payments to rely on.

I have a feeling the situation with Coyle might have an influence on Sharpe’s next move. With 13 games left does he hope and prey Joyce can turn it around and start picking up the 3pts per game we need or, get shut and hope a change of face and idea’s will give the players the new manager syndrome and get us out the muck.

If he doesn’t and Blackburn escape Sharpe will no doubt get his nose rubbed in it for not making the change.
For me, Joyce would have to go and go now because without a change of manager we’ll go down. And as for the similar Alan Hansen quote of you don’t win anything with kids, we let Le Fondre go when he would have been far better suited upsides Bogle and Gomez call him all you want it’s the experience we need.
If it’s kids you have then it’s kids we play but I don’t call young men of 21-22 yrs old kids

Sharpe made the change long before Blackburn did. One thing Sharpe can’t be accused of is being slow to make a change. But maybe he realises cahnge for changes sake is pretty futile.

Another loss……chance to open up gap on Rovers…..get 1pt….don’t give a toss who we get now. This man was a big mistake.Oldham swapped …new man, same squad results improved.Don’t want to see us drop again in a whimper and a new man can’t do any worse can he ???…Come on Sharpie the jokes not funny anymore…he wasn’t,isn’t the man to save us !!!

I’m not so sure changing the manager will turn things around Mr B. The buck stops with the manager of course but for me we are a very naive club.

You need stability, and that is something we haven’t had for 3 or 4 years now. Look at the last two transfer windows both seem to have unsettled us. We had a mini good run early Jan winning 3 on the spin, and beginning to look like a good team. then came transfer deadline day, and we’ve been poor since, and now look like a relegation side!

Stick with him, and hope the club be more prudent in future transfer windows.

No guarantee I know but I’m struggling to believe he will turn it round.Fancy Rovers to beat Burton this week and to survive albeit Mowbray certainly not convinced me in the past. Got to hope other teams crash the relegation jamboree. As for Joyce around 18 league games in charge and only 4 wins and 10 loses and offensively no improvement. Relegation too big an issue for us to at least not give it our best but he’s not for me.Preston substitution saw me off….

Sacking the manager will achieve absolutely nothing, we CANNOT just keep changing managers. However, where I have been disappointed with Joyce is that while (in general), we’re more solid at the back and score a few more, we cant seem to marry the 2 up and whereas I thought that after a settling-in period, getting to know players/getting own players in…Joyce would employ a more attacking style, this hasn’t happened.

We still seem to be more intent on not losing games, rather than looking to win them when the opportunity is there. Saturday, perfect example..without a change in formation, he could have taken Grigg off and put maybe Obertan or Mandron on, just to give them something different to think about.

Midfield is the main problem, only Morsy gets forward, Perks and McDonald too similar, Power is currently offering next to nothing. We don’t get enough players in the box to pose too much of a threat, on the plus side, Bogle’s busy, got something about him and is the one player not afraid to try something, even if he makes a mistake
