How long do you give him, and if the players are not behind him he may as well go now because he brought half of them.

the points been raised before on this board, jones and barrow ? both great players for this club imo but at a different level to premiership football. eric black there not! defence was are strongest point last season its all gon tits up so far, are they capable! and more importantly have they and roberto got the respect of the players having all never played in the top division. :?:
We have to back martinez, we need to get behind the team, even though we are becoming angrier about our current situation. As for all the whelan haters telling him to leave, get a grip. Without his cash injection we would not have achieved the success of the previous years. We are not man utd, chelsea or city and we can’t throw daft money at players. Whelan does not want us leftlike Leeds and struggling financially!!

I do not doubt Martinez’s ability and potential for a moment but there is no doubt that Bruce had a good back-room staff.
Maybe we all have to grow and learn together.

Don’t mind Graeme Jones so much but Graeme Barrow was wrong…. Martinez needed/NEEDS someone with a lot of premership experience beside him.

there does seem to be a couple of bad eggs knocking around, I think Martinez does come across a bit too nice, but I doubt King Jones would be all mamby pamby….
As for Barrow….isn’t his role to look after the reserves? So why would he be involved in first team affairs??
truth is championship players ,championship manager,and i couldnt care less attitude from whelan so long as i keep putting a few mil in my coffers ……whelan as gone as far as he can its time for him to fook off barbados …..this is our 5th year in prem but the quality of player is back to championship ……….ffcks why wont whelan put us on the market just to see if anyone would want to buy us ,next thing we will be below 10,000 and whelan crying the town dont want to support a football team …….truth is WE FOOKIN DO but not whelan in charge any longer …..ok rant over ….but i wont step in that stadium untill whelan is gone

Good post. I’m not Dave Whelans greatest fan but I can’t see who would want to take us over. May be the Dubai United Group could take us over or the Kitt Green United Group…..
we can’t keep saying lets get behind them-to be fair,it’s not going to make a difference.martinez seems to be to layed back and always seems to say ‘we’ll learn from this’ and ‘we’ll take the positives’ we have to push on. i wouldn’t trust martinez with any more signings as if he leaves wer stuck with all these players. but keep the faith… it can only get better… put brown back in the team also {premiership experience}

Give him a chance.He is out of his depth in the Prem only time will tell wether he will be a good manager but us giving him a chance will get us relegated.
He has changed our style of play which the team is obviously happy with :lol: And all his signings so far look gash!!!!
I remember the 3 amigo’s from there playing days and would love Bob to be a success but there is no room for sentiment in football and he has to go.
