Are we in agreement (for once)
I think he has a point
12 March 2017 at 10:17 pm #156661Couldn’t have been put better.
We need to search for a manager with a track record and play our own players without all the loanees. Why is Flores at Blackpool? Surely he can offer as much if not more than Weir.12 March 2017 at 10:37 pm #156662Couldn’t have been put better.

Got an e:mail from a Blackpool fan during midweek; he wants to thank Wigan for Jordan Flores !!! Enough said.

Maybe, but would you be confident of beating them if we played them at the moment, I wouldn’t.

I haven’t seen a lot of Flores, but what I did see was he’s not quite up to Championship level. So he isn’t our saviour, IMO.
13 March 2017 at 1:06 am #156679He may not be a saviour but he is fit to play and he is ours.
If we start preparing now for next year that is the best plan yet, I did mention this myself yesterday.
Millions are not needed for a promotion from League 1, just look at Burton and Barnsley last season. What is needed is a small squad with a game plan, a consistent starting eleven and a professional manager not a coach who doesn’t know the league. It will also be up to the board in keeping the better players i.e. Morsy, Buxton, Burn, Grigg etc. That last point I wouldn’t hold my breath on with their salaries that could be too much to warrant them staying.13 March 2017 at 1:30 am #156686Couldn’t have been put better.

I’m not saying have would have been our saviour, but he is our player, and from what I have seen he wouldn’t be on his own with not being quite up to Championship level with some of the players we have here at the moment.
13 March 2017 at 1:56 am #156688and that boils down to our transfer system, which is crap! But if a homegrown lad isn’t good enough then he has to be loaned out.
13 March 2017 at 3:14 am #156693What ever happens at the end of this season the chairman must take much of the blame if we take the drop and resigne .
13 March 2017 at 3:29 am #156694Thing is young sharpy is only a puppet its the puppet master who is at fault ;)

He is a young lad & hopefully, will have learned a harsh lesson from this. Even experienced chairmen get things wrong sometimes.
13 March 2017 at 7:28 pm #156766Well all of us in agreement didn’t last lol

There’s lots to agree about in there. I never understood why we let Flores go out on loan then bring the likes of an unfit Hanson in.
If Hanson were a far better player then point taken but he’s not but not only that the overriding factor we need now in pride and passion from the players, something Wigan born and Latics fan Flores has in abundance. I’m sure he wouldn’t want to see us go down without a fight, crazy decision crazy but there you go, Joyce never failed to shock us
