Is that one of those we are supposed to get worked up about. For one he’s a midfielder and we could lend Wolves a few of those. Secondly he is a loan player and we don’t need to loan yet another midfielder. Thirdly he can not get in Wolves side and if anyone remembers Wolves last season they were almost as bad as us so try again to excite us.

And I’ll tell you something else as well, give it 5 or 10 years and there will be no Wigan Athletic. We will go bust once Whelan is gone and they “gift the club to the fans” and make it a supporters run consortium club, there will not be a cat in hell’s chance of us surviving.

BOGLE SALE….

Unless the club redeems itself and allows Paul Cook to have the Bogle money to bring in a new striker….that would be a statement that of intent. If they don’t it shows what a joke we are.

On this signing Paul I don’t think I was being negative.
It is the last position we need to fill midfield.
The only place we need to bring in players is for up front. Two left last week and Bogle is in the naughty boy corner for some reason. One senior striker and a young striker at the club. It is verging on ridiculous.

Well, as far as a starting 11 goes, I honestly believe we can field at least as strong a team as anyone else in League One.
But what concerns me, is our strength in depth. We’ve lost something like 16 out of last seasons squad. A fair few of those were loan players, and they hadn’t played much, like Tunnicliffe and Weir. Bur they were still bodies we had to full gaps. And when Power and Bogle go, and I’m sure they will do, that will be 18 we have lost…basically a full match day squad! That’s a LOT of bodies to lose!

However, if we can keep the players we have, apart from those two castaways (3 if you include Jack Byrne…that makes 19) we will have a really strong Base at this level.

NEW STRIKER?
Yes, we definitely need another striker to come in. We need to reinvest whatever we get for Bogle, or at least a large chunk of it. We should be able to get someone half decent for 6 or 700 grand. I’m not sure who though.
