Off the top of my head….

      Bringing Figs back
He’s just signed two left backs, Taylor and Taylor-Sinclair. Does he suddenly not rate them?

      Fortune
Told, apparently, that he would be behind the new arrivals in the pecking order. Uwe “glad” he didn’t send him out on loan, suggesting a fair bit of inning and aahing

      Riera
High-profile new signing dropped after about three games

      Waghorn
Sings his praises in the press, says he was “heartbroken” to leave him out. Hardly ever seen again

      Holt
Insists on the player moving closer to Wigan. The distance doesn’t seem to have done him any harm at Huddersfield

      The “high pressing game”
Remember this? Someone must take a shot within seven seconds. I’d be surprised if we’ve reached double figures for shots on target all season

      Kiernan
Uwe’s golden boy, based on a spell on loan in league 1, converted into a centre half and dropped into the back four ahead of Barnett, Rogme and Caldwell

      Oh yeah, Caldwell
Given an extra year’s contract and coaching responsibilities. Why?

      Three goalkeepers
The squad’s four players too big at least. One easy win would have been to sell Ak-Habsi to free up some funds.

      Don Cowie
What does he seen in this fella?

I’m sure there are more that I’ve forgotten.

Here’s another one for you, says Espinoza wants to leave, doesn’t play him all season then brings him on for 20 minutes just to appease supporters. His positive attacking play got us to the play offs and the semi final last year then in that semi final he made a few negative changes and we’ve gone downhill since. He was negative v QPR and after battering Brum this season he changed the team next match. The players don’t have a clue because the manager dosent

You are seriously deluded if you think that someone as stubborn as Rosler would do that just to please a bunch of moaning know-nowt Wigan fans.

Don’t understand this one myself either. Not as if Figueroa is a World beater.

Fortune is definitely our best player at holding the ball up and could be dangerous with the right man alongside him.

        Riera
High-profile new signing dropped after about three games

Hasn’t looked brilliant, but looks far better than Delort and actually has a record to back it up.

        Waghorn

Don’t get this unless he is injured. Far better option than McClean in my opinion.

        Holt
Insists on the player moving closer to Wigan. The distance doesn’t seem to have done him any harm at Huddersfield

Having read Holt’s comments about losing weight and being one of the fittest in the squad, I would be interested to read/hear what Rosler has to say on the matter. Seems very much like a face not fitting to me.

        The “high pressing game”

        Utter codswallop

        Kiernan

Liked Kiernan at the end of last season but hasn’t looked the same player so far this.

        Oh yeah, Caldwell
Given an extra year’s contract and coaching responsibilities. Why?

Good signing on the coaching side I think. Certainly has the experience. Doubt we’ll see him near the first team unless we have an injury crisis.

        Three goalkeepers
The squad’s four players too big at least. One easy win would have been to sell Ak-Habsi to free up some funds.

No need for 3 keepers and I’m pretty sure we will lose Nicholls at some stage will be a big loss. Ali to go for me.

I see more in this guy than I do in Forshaw.

I’m sure there are more that I’ve forgotten.

We make far too many changes to the side for me. Yes it worked last year when we played too many games but this year we have new players trying to fit in and such like so they need game time. Let’s have a run of the same XI for God’s sake.

Now that I think of it, only picking Espinoza after it became public knowledge that he wanted to leave is another weird one.

I fully agree, especially as he’s hardly had a sniff in all the time Rosler’s been in charge.

Think that’s unfair, to be honest.

Rosler was everyone’s hero last season. But he seems to have lost something. When Whelan appointed him he was the right appointment, and got the right result.

              Long term – maybe not.

so whats gone wrong then? after a poor start under coyle we stormed into the playoffs and played some decent stuffwhen rosler took over. this season itsthe worst ive seen us play for twenty years. midfield poor, strikers non existant, forshaw kvist cowie out of their depth in this league. dont know what the answer is, if we sack rosler would a new manager do any better with this lot. come back gomez all is forgiven

Thing is Pemp we didn’t play much decent stuff last season under Uwe. Remember some very close wins with some poor displays and some stinkers like Blackpool Millwall Yeovil etc. Fantastic away at Forest and at New Springfield against Leicester and Reading. Brilliant resilience at Wembley int cup and at City and Cardiff but many results were ground out without being too spectacular and without the high pressing attacking football. Something seems really wrong this time though with the ground out result type games only grinding out one point and not two. May be it is just that the squad is so much weaker than last season.

This. I think you are missing Gomez and McArthur.

Out of the 11 that started the FA Cup final less than 18 months ago, only one (Maloney) started the last game. Two others came on as 2nd half subs.

Your close-knit cup winning squad with premiership standard players has finally been dismantled, and you are left with rejects, plodders and journeymen who don’t give a toss as long as there is a fat pay packet. That’s not Rostlers fault – that’s life when you are not a premier league club and don’t have a stream of young players coming through an academy.

Im sure he’s a good coach of hungry young players who want to improve, but that’s not the bunch you have at the DW right now – I suspect even Jose would struggle to get them up the league.

What have you done with mutty? Own up. Where are you hiding him?
                  :)

                  Good post.
