I’m off to Benidorm this week for our 40th wedding anniversary and was wondering whether anyone knows of any bars that will be likely to show the Everton/ Wigan match? Under orders to leave our apartment while preparations are made for a do so thought I’d treat our Maud to the delights of total football the Latics way (she doesn’t know yet). 8-)
Make your way down to the Yorkshire pride next door to the bookies..On that road you will pick up most matches and i would have thought their will be Everton fans wanting to see the game also.Good Luck.
Think the bookies is called the Winning Post – most of the bars in that area have several matches on
Friends bar is the place to go. There will be at least two or three other Latics fans in there. It’s a long thin bar opposite the Hotel Levante and next to Rachel’s sports bar. It’ll be on in there too, but those in the know locally go in Friends (nothing to do with the TV series, run by Brits, about 10 screens inside and there’s even a Latics shirt on the ceiling inside).
My mum and dad spend half the year out there, so the three old blokes supporting Latics in there will be Terry, Ken and Eric. Oh and they’ve got John Smiths, Guiness and Strongbow on tap (but so do most bars in Benidorm).
