So at the beginning of the season our manager announced that there wouldn’t be many incomings as he was going to give players that are already here a chance.
      So far
3 players have come in, 2 young lads in
Luke Brennan – Blackburn Rovers, free
      Josh Stones – Guiseley, free
      And
Ryan Nyambe – Blackburn Rovers, free

While we have 10 gone out the door
7 gone for good 3 out on loan when I say out on loan Jones and McGrath will never play for us again.
Then there’s Wyke crocked, Cousins 24/7 knackered and now add Whatmore so based on those figures we are currently 10 players down.
I’m not advocating spend spend spend but if your not bringing in then why tf open the door for 10 to leave ??.
Some will say “We need to budget” or “Cut your cloth” but don’t forget we’ve come up into a far harder League and weakened the squad.
I do not understand McGrath going when the lad has been given no chance at all since in Jan.
Something’s not right but if we don’t recruit and recruit asap it won’t take long before were in a relegation battle struggle .

Were fcukin one extreme to another

All graft and effort we displayed on Saturday Aside I am rather concerned with the lack of transfer activity.
I felt we were very lucky to get a point as they had the better chances and we lacked cutting edge.
I am not expecting anything other than a relegation fight given how strong this division is , far stronger than the last time we were in it.

There’s been plenty transfer activity. One signing and plenty leaving.
Ok the ones that have gone are no great shakes and couldn’t get regular spots in the team but we have come up a level and at the moment have a weaker squad than the squad that finished last season.
What is more worrying is the absolute diabolical communication between representatives of the club and the fans and supporters. Could only be described as amateurish at best.

You make this comment quite often Donny. Come on, what do you want from the club and JayT and the WASC committee can try and help you get it. Just constantly saying “bloody rubbish Wigan” won’t get you anywhere

Read the article by Mal Brannigan. Possibly 2 more incomings on their way.

I don’t like the transfer window because it leaves a lot of clubs under prepared going into the new season .I think we are in that boat this season and I would not be at all surprised if we did most of our dealings right at the end of the window. In that time for or five weeks will have gone by ( I think it’s the 1st of September this year ). We are all getting worked up by the lack of activity but we have to be patient and have faith in the club. This is very much a transition season for us and the players we bring in have to be the right fit for the club. I was surprised as anyone to see Jamie McGrath go to Dundee Utd but we are not privy to see what’s going on behind the scenes and it could just be he and his family could not settle down here ,it happens. Hopefully, the players we do bring in will hit the ground running and add real quality to the squad.
