Need some ipod/itunes help from someone with more brains than me, please.
Just bought a 8gb nano and was importing my old cds just as I did with my old 4gb nano. I was surprised to see that I could only store roughly the same number of songs (950-ish) on the 8gb as I could with the 4gb. Mrs Griff has an 8gb nano and managed to get around 1900 songs on hers.
We both imported many of the same cds (default AAC mode) yet the resulting file sizes on her i-tunes were half the size as mine. Typical track size for me was 8-9mb but 4-5gb for her. I re-imported one particular cd to her i-tunes and lo, she is now getting the same larger file sizes as me. She says she has not touched the import settings (and I believe her) and so I am now officially confused. :?
Anyone any ideas?
Mp3 files can be of varying quality.
For example I had a Kaiser Chiefs track bluetoothed to my phone and that was 912kb (approx).
I downloaded the same file from a legit source (much the same as itunes) and it was almost 6mb
