After the Zulte performance I’ve got to say Ipswich’s odds look quite generous at 3/1 .
20 September 2013 at 10:39 am #121219A point away in Europe for a championship team against last years runners up, who have lost just the once this year. Also whilst fielding a debate able second choice team with no out and out striker. Am I missing something?
BT Sport commentator said wigan fans should be proud and toast a job well done, don’t think it was that bad fella?
Hmm 3s though.
20 September 2013 at 11:34 am #121221No out and out striker, why ?
If you’re going to throw him on anyway, why not start with him, get a goal then take him off, seemed odd to me .20 September 2013 at 12:31 pm #121223I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Wiganers are NEVER happy.
Who cares how we performed? Who cares that our second string side was lucky? The fact is we got a point away from home in Europe in a competition that isn’t even our priority..

If you’re going to throw him on anyway, why not start with him, get a goal then take him off, seemed odd to me .So we start with Fortune and he gets a knock and is out for Sunday I can see your point :silly: :silly:
20 September 2013 at 2:18 pm #121228So if he comes on as a sub, he won’t pick up a knock for Sunday, how does that work, what was your point ??
20 September 2013 at 2:25 pm #121229The point bwing is that Championship is more important than the Europa league I would have thought that would be obvious then again
20 September 2013 at 2:32 pm #121230He brought Fortune on, if he was protecting him he wouldn’t have, I would have thought that was the obvious part ! I might just work in the afternoon from now on, no way will I get a work related injury then, thanks for the advice .
20 September 2013 at 5:16 pm #121234I would have said it was obvious why he was on the bench and was brought on.
He was on the bench in the hope of not needing him and was brought on as an outlet for the defence to hold the ball up and try and hit them on the break. Similar reason to Dicko coming on with his pace that he opted not to use when given the chance and gave the ball away instead.
20 September 2013 at 5:46 pm #121236Dicko in his 5 min cameo revealed why hes not been given any game time
20 September 2013 at 7:19 pm #121237I trust that we will be back to full strength for Ipswich on Sunday.
Presumably the squad players will get another run-out against Manchester City. We can only wonder who will play centre forward then.
Boyce in particular deserves a rest!

Latics fans yes, but some Wiganers would not have been happy on that day!
