The former Nantes keeper cost Sporting €2million (£1.68m) in 2007 and they are believed to want around €800,000 (£675k) for his transfer.

No wonder Bensons ****** off!At best Stoicovic would be battling for the 3rd choice keeper spot as Pollitt is taking on more coaching duties. Not that I think he’ll sign, Martinez has already said a young keeper is a priority.
As for Britton I doubt anyone has seen him play more than a couple of games, not wanting him on a free transfer based on his Swnasea connections seems a little short sighted.
A keeper can’t be taught to make world class agile saves, this lad has that in his locker, he’s made some unbelievable saves. He can be taught to talk to his defenders, to catch instead of punch, better distribution and when to come and not to come for a ball.
I’m not saying we can make him Peter Schemichel but he has the basic tools required.
