24 November 2009 at 12:38 pm #13669Also they moved on investor wise, whereas unfortunately we haven’t !You do realise you support Wigan Athlectic, don’t you? I’ve said many times before, there is no queue of Arab Sheik Andvacs waiting to invest millions in Wigan Athetic. It’s the same reason why we don’t get £10m strikers – it’s nowt to do with Whelan, they just don’t want to come
24 November 2009 at 1:12 pm #13679great shout mate.
if a player was worth 10m+ he wouldn’t come here anyway.
we have to get used to buying cheaper players and hopefully making them better.
unfortunately it can’t last.24 November 2009 at 1:14 pm #13682great shout mate.

unfortunately it can’t last. That’s why, ultimately, we won’t last in the Premier League under the current conditions. Hopefully, it won’t be this season, though.
24 November 2009 at 1:42 pm #13695it’s certainly going to an interesting season.
realistically, how long do you think we can maintain premier league status.
My view is that if we get this season over, then we can stay up for a long time.
purely based on the fact that 2 out the 3 teams that come up usually not up to it.24 November 2009 at 1:49 pm #13699Even without spending an absolute fortune i think we could be a mid-table premier team for many years to come. No real reason why we should be certs for relegation every year (although we would be in the frame with 10 others no doubt at the start of every season) but little prospect of breaking into the top 6 or 7 either.
24 November 2009 at 1:53 pm #13702Personally i think next season will be harder if we stay up!
The teams challengng for the championship are teams with a lot of money! Plus if they came up you couldnt see newcastle dropping straight back down!
Lets be honest though i think theres lots of teams that are worse than us this year including: Burnley (watch them capitulate after xmas), Bolton, Blackburn, Wolves (plus teams will start picking their cream like Kightly up in january), Stoke, Pompey and Birmingham. Add to this that West ham could struggle without a new owner. Plus the rumours persist that if they dont get a new owner in December theyll technically be in adminisration meaning a 10 point deduction!
24 November 2009 at 2:09 pm #13705Yeah Faz, but it’s West Ham remember?
It can’t possibly haoppen to them.
24 November 2009 at 2:16 pm #13707Very true especially seeing as they are in the same situation as southampton were yet nothing has been done!
24 November 2009 at 2:20 pm #13709yes but they won the world cup.
