Chatting with a Rovers fan at work today, comparing relegation form. His Father is an ardent Rovers fan who is on the supporters committee and who recently met with their Financial Director. During the meeting it was revealed that over the previous financial year that Venkys had taken out pay day loans to help meet the players wage bill and as a result had racked up 8 million in re-payment interest.
Now if that doesn’t stink of sneaking 8 million out of the club ( into a loan company that has a long convoluted ownership link to Venkys , I don’t know what does. The supporters committee also asked if there was any danger of going into administration; to which the answer was yes and possibly in the not too distant future.
