Its all about scoring goals, and that has been our problem so far this season. We don’t create enough chances, and the shots on target seem to be too few and far between with the way we play.
Surely Gary must realise that you have to get shots at goal to win games, and the more shots you have would ultimately result in more goals.
Get the ball forward as quickly as possible and shoot at goal as soon as an opening is there instead of passing it about sideways and backwards and waiting for the opposition defence to fall asleep.
Every game we have lost this season has been by one single goal.
If we had scored one more goal in each of the games we have lost or drawn, we would have 18 more points and would be in 2nd place in the table.
I know if is a big word in some cases, but it does show that the difference between success and failure is not such a large gap, and we are not that far away, we just have to be more positive when we have the ball.
Just one accurate shot in each of the 90 minutes of the lost and drawn games we have played this season and most people would be jumping through hoops instead of all this doom and gloom.
The shooting has been atrocious in my view especially Jacobs! Shooting practice should be a big part of training but from what I have seen they don’t look like they do much!
