Whilst I expect to see at least one of those players you mentioned (& in all likelihood both) go during the close season, I very much doubt that particular story is true
Unless Arsene Wenger has taken leave of his senses
Did you really think that we would be able to keep hold of them?
Part of what makes Wigan attractive to the south/central americans is the ability to show case themselves to bigger clubs. As for Zog he clearly needed to get out of toon town but he was always just passing through.
I can also see us losing figgy this summer.
then it will start again next year with McCarthy, Diame andThomas (maybe).
But that’s why Bobby has been bringing in younger players aswell.
I too believe that this story is a load of cobblers, however I do expect that both players will leave during the summer. In fact the replacement for one of them has already been bought.
Neither player suits the system that Bob is trying to play. People keep saying we play 4-5-1 , but that suggests that when defending we have 5 midfielders tracking back. We don’t have and that’s why our full backs are always under pressure. To our wide men , defence is what goes around degarden.
N’Zogbia needs to think about learning to travel with a ball before he can fit into a top 4 side. You can have all the skill in the world to get a defender off balance but if the next touch is 20 yards out of your feet then it’s no good.

Start next year with Hendry Thomas? Just making sure thats what you said, as it made me laugh, he is terrible, maybe lose him to a championship side yeah

Im sure the same could have been said about Valencia and he hasn’t looked back

Very true…Valencia was no better for us than N’zogbia has been. (Bar defensive duties, but I would probably give zoggy the edge in attack.)

Roll your eyes all you want, Charles hasn’t got the right attitude to make a fist of it. Too much petulence.
Carterlatics….do you really expect a small town club like ours to be able to keep players when the likes of Arsenal come along? The only problem I have with us selling players is that we dont always get decent money and the manager doesnt always get a huge amount to spend (though thats understandable to an extent considering the debt).
As for £22m for those 2, if there’s a grain of truth in that, we should snatch their hands off.

You must be watching different players to me mate. How many goals has NZogbia actually set up this season? OK he’s hindered by playing on the wrong wing, but how many times does he get the ball, cut inside, beat one player and lose it. Too predictable, and one of the reasons we’re not beating the lower teams – no width.
He’s a decent player being completely misused by Martinez. Judging by his tactics this season, he’d have played Valencia on the left.
