and lets all start getting behind Gomez, instead of booing the lad everytime he makes a mistake.
No wonder he seems to play better away from home !!
He has started the season really well so lets get behind him.
Show him the same tolerance we show other players.
Rant over
LC :woohoo:
29 August 2012 at 9:36 pm #92245Totally agree but I won’t hold my breath. Some clown behind me gets wound up when he sees him warming up and can’t wait for him to miss his first tackle before foaming at the mouth.

29 August 2012 at 10:28 pm #92248Are you his agent :PHis Agent is Horacio Gaggioli who also looks after Zabaleta at City.
Oh sorry that was a joke wasn’t it…
29 August 2012 at 11:56 pm #92250I don’t boo him but I also don’t think he’s good enough, if everyone is fit for me he doesn’t play.
30 August 2012 at 12:10 am #92252Correct Hindley.
30 August 2012 at 12:15 am #92253martinez must see something we don’t to keep persevering with gomez so we must trust him and get behind him. how shit must he feel coming on at his own ground and being booed by his own fans. yes its time for a change lets give him a cheer next time, that might boost his confidence instead of being on a downer all the time, trying too hard to please everyone
30 August 2012 at 12:18 am #92254I agree he as done nothing to get booed.
30 August 2012 at 12:23 am #92255I just don’t get it. What has he done so far to warrant any kind of abuse. 2 seasons ago he was dreadful and i suppose mud sticks. Last season he had SOME poor displays but also chipped in with some ultra vital goals. This season so far he has been excellent. Distribution and hold up play has been as good as anybody. He has been better that McCarthy and McArthur put it that way.
30 August 2012 at 12:35 am #92258Some fans seem to forget that Jordi’s goals last season earned us 10 points with out which we would be in the championship

Our great end to the season was based on two major decisions 1) The change of defensive formation and 2) He dropped Gomez for Shaun Maloney and the rest as they say is history.
30 August 2012 at 1:58 am #92265I’ve never understood booing your own. Makes no sense.
Last season I started to think that maybe Gomez did have what it takes to be a Premiership player.
This season there is no doubt – he is playing to a very decent Premiership standard.
What’s more, I think he can get even better.
There, I’ve said it. My name is Northern and I’m a Jordi Gomez fan.

Not entirely correct, you’ll have included his 15 mins cameo performance against Arsenal at Emirates (including goal)
On the goals front, he (forward) scored as many as (a) Caldwell, and (b) Boyce, from open play (two penalties excluded). Hardly, a bucket full.
Whilst not a Gomez-hater (‘boo-er’ etc. … he has had his moments), he hasn’t done it consistently to date for me and isn’t in the 1st 11.
Acknowledge his great goal against Forest. Sign of things to come ? … then Martinez would have a (nice) problem.
