Can’t recall seeing Jack play before? But he caught my eye from the start against Liverpool, looks to be a very good prospect.
He’s an organizer, keeps talking and marshalling the others around him which for a young lad is really encouraging to see. Not seen Dan Burn play yet but GC could be building a solid defence..He was excellent. Caught our eye too.
Liverpool had us pinned in our half for the majority of the game but the defence remained organised thanks to Hendry and Pearce. It went tits up when the subs started being introduced.
It would be a waste of a good player if he isn’t given the opportunity this season.
Thankfully, Andrew Taylor is not our first choice left back.
I’ve dug this one out because Jack has just been sold to Celtic for circa 1.5m.. Was gutted when we sold him as he wasn’t given a chance at Wigan.
Now I know the standard in Scottish football isn’t that great but Celtic have paid a lot of money for him so must see something. Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s moved on again in a couple of years for even more money?
