James I don’t know if you will ever get to read what I post here, or the responses I know will follow and echo my sentiments, but hopefully someone will pass this this on to you.

Congratulations and all the best for the future in your move to Everton FC.

Young man your parents should be very proud of you, the way you have conducted yourself over the last four seasons, and especially this summer, is a credit to them, I honestly believe you are capable of heading to the top and the move to Everton is the next step of the Journey for you.

It has been a pleasure to watch you develop whilst playing for WAFC and you have shared all the ups and downs with us without any petulant tears or tantrums, you are in my opinion a model professional and others should look to follow the example you have shown, it is with sadness we see you go, but because of the way you conduct yourself I also believe you got us a good fee for your services.

I only hope the chairman has got a good sell on clause embedded in the deal, because it will reap dividends in the next few years for WAFC.

Good luck to him, only time will tell whether he can progress into a top class player, he’s decent enough but I think £13 million is very good business at the stage he’s at .

I’m still not absolutely convinced about his potential to make it at the very highest level but I hope for his sake that he does.

He may well be one of those players that needs to be playing with better quality players week in, week out. The last few weeks have certainly shown that his game is not really cut out for the Championship.

Good luck James, and well done Whelan for an excellent bit of business.

He isnt worth £13 million IMO, but it is a good bit of business on our part. Shame we left it too late to bring in a striker.

Good luck to him. I hope his move is a success and he progresses.

It makes a change that a player didn’t spit his dummy out, stamp his feet and cry like a baby to get a move. Maybe its a foreign/South American thing to do that, I’m not sure, but anyway, I thank him for his efforts a Latics player and wish him only well for the rest of his career.

        That’s another cup winner gone;

Robles, Scharner, Alcaraz, Figueroa, Kone and now McCarthy.

Still here; Boyce, McArthur, Espinoza, Gomez and McManaman.

Subs Al Habsi, Caldwell, Golobart, Watson, Fyvie, Di Santo and Henriquez.

Beausejour, Ramis and Pollitt (now on loan) belong to that generation too.

Able replacements in most departments, certainly at this level, not saying it’s going to be easy but the general feeling seems to be that the squad’s as good as last year if not better, I’m optimistic anyway .

At least Coyle and Whwlan didn’t crumble and held out for as much money as
best of luck James hope you fulfill your potential.
Atl least we kept Maloney and Callum .
