Your thoughts on the impending transfer window?
Doubt there’ll be much activity. Usually everything is done in the summer window.

Sorry, have to pick on you because that daft chump Loudmouthblue went and got himself banned :shock:Have just read the posts. Looks like it was a proper cyber pub brawl, ending with Landgate shouting ‘You’re barred’and LMB being turfed out.

You should never threaten a landlord…7 December 2010 at 5:33 pm #52756Maybe this will help?

Not that LMB is the type of person to readily accept this kind of advice, mind you. And it’s going to take two days for us to find out!
11 December 2010 at 2:31 pm #52988Why isn’t LMB back yet?
Has the ban been extended?
Or, is he waiting for us to lose before riding back into town? ;)
14 December 2010 at 11:42 pm #53241Skysports.com understands Wigan have joined the chase for transfer-listed Leeds star Bradley Johnson.
15 December 2010 at 12:27 pm #53263We would be as well signing Bradley Walsh….
This lad can play at left back though, so given the boards hatred of Figgy this can only be seen as an improvement !
15 December 2010 at 12:45 pm #53269Figgy when he first join us he was pretty good and it showed last season at Stoke…
18 December 2010 at 12:31 am #53479In January I want Matt Jarvis or Charlie Adam – though the £7m we get for Charlie will pay to keep the staff at the club in a job and the signing on fee for a new player.
Koumas will stay at Cardiff and Kirkland will go to L.City till end of season.
I have spoken
18 December 2010 at 2:32 am #53492The ambiguity of this thread is most annoying. I clicked on expecting Manchester Airports Departures and Arrivals web page !! Sort it out Donnelly :P
19 December 2010 at 2:07 am #53572Figgy when he first join us he was pretty good and it showed last season at Stoke…Why because he scored a freak goal? How about 2 minutes later when the man he was supposed to be marking scored a free header to equalise?
19 December 2010 at 4:10 pm #53598I like the fact that Sunderlaqnd are ‘plotting’ a summer move for N’Zogbia. That means he is going nowhere in January, though i can’t beleive he would look at Sunderland to advance his career, oh yeah, money.
20 December 2010 at 12:18 pm #53623Roberto Martinez has coolled reports linking Wigan with Bradley Johnson, while rumours of interest from Bolton also appear wide of the mark.
The Lancashire rivals are two of the clubs who have been linked to Johnson since he was transfer-listed by Leeds, but Martinez refused to confirm that he would be on his list of targets next month.
Leeds are willing to sell Johnson during the transfer window after
failing to agree a new deal with the 23-year-old.
Johnson recently rejected a final contract offer from Leeds and his existing deal is due to expire in six months’ time.
Leeds will listen to offers made for him in the coming weeks as they attempt to avoid losing him on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Asked if he was interested in Johnson, Martinez told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “There are going to be a lot of names thrown at us and a lot of speculation.
“I think we will speak about the window when it arrives but at the moment it is too early.”
Bolton were reported to have identified Johnson as a possible January signing but sources in Lancashire say manager Owen Coyle has no intention of submitting a bid to Elland Road when the transfer window opens.
Rangers, Burnley, Stoke and Sheffield United are other clubs who are said to be monitoring Johnson, and Leeds do not plan to return to the player with an improved contract offer having already upped their initial proposal.
Johnson has continued to play a prominent role in United’s first team despite the collapse of negotiations between his advisors and Leeds officials, and manager Simon Grayson is expected to use the former Northampton Town player for as long as he is on the books at Elland Road.
His position in Grayson’s line-up seemed increasingly uncertain last week following a public spat with chairman Ken Bates and the booing of him by United’s supporters during the club’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace, but he turned in a solid performance in a 3-2 victory at Burnley having retained the faith of his manager.
Grayson said: “If he’s playing well then he’ll stay in the team. I’ve said that from day one. It’s based on football reasons.
“No player likes to have negativity or criticism aimed at them but I make the decisions.”
