What’s going to happen in January? Will it be off-loading to prepare for League One like the last disastrous season in The Championship or will it be a push for a play-off position like the first season when Paul Jewell took us up?
11 September 2016 at 7:56 pm #150669This season is all about consolidation anyway. But lets not get too far ahead yet.
11 September 2016 at 9:29 pm #150670Too many changes been made already we need a settled side else we will get punished in this league. Survival will do so January can come and go for me. Gary needs to know his best 15 players and let them knit together in a unit.
11 September 2016 at 9:46 pm #150671Should have known them before the season started but the purpose of this post was to get back on a football theme.
11 September 2016 at 10:00 pm #150672He probably did have an idea of his preferred line up earlier, but injuries haven’t helped.
Hopefully now he can start to play a more settled line up and get them to gel together.
We didn’t start especially well last season, but once a settled side was found we didn’t fare too badly.
This league is obviously tougher and the sooner we start to get a few results the better as we don’t want to be fighting at the bottom for too long as it gets harder as the weeks pass to get away from the bottom.
3 points at Norwich in the week will help us on our way.11 September 2016 at 10:06 pm #150673As much as i respect garry Caldwell ive never been sure he is right man for the job for me was a cheap option
Ok great last year after a slow start
But this season ok its early doors but struggling with his selection and positioning of players then again this divion is alot harder than last one12 September 2016 at 11:55 am #150687Be looking for a goalscorer again as Grigg will be a wanted man and cashed in…..unless there’s a complete turnaround in results …….
12 September 2016 at 2:04 pm #150689We’ve only played 6 games. Why are people panicking. Give GC a few more games to find his ideal team as he did last season. As i have said many times, this season is all about consolidation – meaning i would be happy finishing 4th from bottom.

12 September 2016 at 7:16 pm #150697But we have the Wonga some other clubs don’t have and we are owned by one of the richest men in the country.

Burton and Barnsley didn’t have the wonga we had last season but they are making light work of this league unlike ourselves. We have to admit and accept that some bad buys have been made since promotion. Stability is key now and Gary simply has to sort it very soon.I wont accept that he has become a bad manager overnight but some strange decisions are being made at present which need to be addressed quickly. Onwards and upwards.

As i say, we have only played 6 games. Lets see where barnsley, burton & ourselves finish at the end of the season.
12 September 2016 at 10:29 pm #150701January?? Wow. We must have about 18 games before then.
