8 November 2010 at 3:50 pm #50432Would love to see him back as I think he could do a job for us. However, chances are he wouldnt score in this team/formation (like every other striker we have played Scotland, Di Santo, Boselli)

8 November 2010 at 10:21 pm #50486Was sat next to some Blackburn stalwarts in their 500 club on Saturday and not one of them had a good word to say about Roberts. They even moaned when he scored saying that he fluffed his shot and it was lucky to go in. Sounded a bit like I remembered him towards the end of his time with the Latics. They said he runs the channels well but is always looking for the free kick and often ends up on the floor holding his hands up when he should be chasing back.
You can’t turn back the clock I’m afraid, leave him a be. :roll:From Matlock to ManU

8 November 2010 at 11:28 pm #50495Anonymousagreed lets bring back Bobby Campbell as well
8 November 2010 at 11:36 pm #50497I think we already have four better strikers in Boselli, Di Santo, Moses and at a push Rodalegga.
Roberto just needs to play the right combination in the right system, but there lies the problem.

You’re right John, that’s where the bit about combination and system comes in.

You can’t turn back the clock I’m afraid, leave him a be. :roll:He used to do that with us though too and he was still class player.
We turned the clock back for Arry and that worked out very well.
We are missing an experienced talisman – N’Zog has the makings of one but he won’t be around for long. Roberts fits the bill perfectly. -
