Last season i got a lot of stick for not being one of martinez backers, but when we had just been beat nine one by spurs, i knew this man was out of his depth, so i voiced my opinion, but not knowing upset a few people, i support this web site 100% but will not stand and watch this manager destroy everything this club stands for, I dont mind losing to blackpool but i do mind rolling over, and that is what we did today, martinez prob is a nice guy but he as lost what wigan athletic stands for, hard work, The best thing wigan athletic can do is to get rid of martinez, I have never seen so many people walk off disgusted in the performance, martinez out now, I remember being at springfield park shouting hamilton out with only 1000 in atttendance, but feel the fans and this web site are scared to death of voicing there opinions,

I’ve never seen the stadium empty so fast, and there were still 20 minutes left on the clock. I would never boo the players or leave early myself, but we totally capitulated today.

You can tell me that you knew it was going to be a tough game because they’d be totally fired up, but can you honestly look me in the eyes and tell me that, not only would we lose the game, but that we’d perform so badly?

I saw the line up before KO and I thought that we would put these upstarts in their place. I felt humiliated to be a Wigan Athletic supporter today, we were outplayed, outclassed and even their support was better than ours. I can’t recall the away end being much louder than it was today.

It was the worst game of football that I’ve ever seen, and you can say all you want about Chelsea giving WBA a good hiding and ensuring that we’re not rock bottom, but you expect that kind of result from a team like Chelsea.

When we lost 9-1 to Spurs, I said that it was just a bad day at the office: Spurs were totally rampant and the errors were clear to see. When we lost 8-0 to Chelsea I expected it, after seeing how easily they demolished Aston Villa. When we lost 4-0 to Bolton and Pompey it hurt, but the edge wasn’t as sharp as it was today because they (were) established Premier League sides.

We lost 4-0 today to a side that can’t afford to have its ground finished in time, that can’t afford to bring a lot of new players in, and that has never been in the Premier League before. You’d think it was the other way round today – are we really in our 6th top flight season?!

I can’t even get angry any more, the performance from all the players was so dire that I was just weary at the end of it. They need to take a good look at themselves, and you’d better think twice before saying “it was the first game!”/”you’re too negative!”/”it will be all right!”.

If going down into the Championship will get back the players, fans and staff back that really care about the club and its progress and look like they WANT to play for us, then so be it. I’ll still be watching, but after today I’m not filled with hope for the future of Martinez and our position in the Premier League.
