yesterday.stelling and his cronies were havin the usual discussion about us,you know crowds,does wigan deserve a prem team etc etc,he asked jewell and he basically blew stellings legs off with his answers,crowds up every year,all fa cup games were down last weekend,we only got 5k for league games not that long ago.really stuck up for us against the ignorant twots,and i would like to say thanks for that and for the job he did while he was here. :)
I saw it too, fair play to Paul Jewell.
He praised the club up and mentioned nearly all the points mentioned in the Daily Mail article.Aside from the BBC, most Sky Sports pundits, a huge proportion of the national press, the local press, and now Jeff Stelling, is there anyone else hated by, what is seemingly, the majority of Wigan Athletic supporters?
I like Jeff Stelling. He presents a show which is, on paper, a strange concept: he’s there to make a day of listening to other people watch football matches entertaining, and he does that well. He says it as he sees it – which is how a majority of the UK football audience also see it, and that includes how Wigan Athletic are viewed.
Fair play to Jewell. I watched it, and he did fly the Wigan flag. Like the Daily Mail piece on Saturday however, you need people who know about the club to prod and poke those with the voice in the right direction. Wigan Athletic aren’t an interesting enough proposition for most people to read up on the wheres and whys before they form an opinion, so, as Stelling did on Saturday, they say it how they see it. Hopefully, as he’s an intelligent bloke, he’ll learn from Jewell’s opinions.
Jeff Stelling is one of the ‘good guys’.
He is a top bloke.
I recently read his book, Jellyman Throws A Wobbly, and he talks a lot of sense.
Actually, I watched a bit of gss and I think Stelling knows that Jewell would stick up for Wigan and probably set him up accordingly

ITV , ESPN , The Government , Wigan Council , Everyone on Talksport , Everyone on 5 Live , Stuart Hall , Elton Welsby , Lindsay , Terry Heilbron , all football agents , everything Bolton , everything Preston , everything Rugby League , all referees , Stan Collymore , Rodney Marsh , the guy in charge of the gritters , GMP , that scruffy Burnley t****r off NW Tonight , all other football fans , Lucy Meecock & everyone off Loose Women !!! They all hate us !!!

i actually know the “guy in charge of the gritters” and i know he doesnt hate us,he actually comes to watch games now and then,he match fishes so doesnt go at weekends but comes to any evening games we have.
oh and btw he thinks the spanish one is useless as well so most on here would hate him ;)
