So what do we reckon to the ongoing ‘trial’ of Mr Terry? It is even worth it considering he’ll only get a fine of £2500 if he’s found guilty? Wasn’t the talk that the maximum sentence was jail time?
11 July 2012 at 12:20 pm #90164When put in to perspective, it is going to cost us the tax payer a couple of hundred grand to find out whether a thug of a player said something or not.
His reputation is cack anyway, so it isn’t as if we would be shocked if he is found guilty, nor will it effect the afore mentioned lack of a decent reputation.
So we foot the bill for a fooyballer to get a fine of less than an hours pay – great.
Not even going to follow what happens.FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

11 July 2012 at 2:04 pm #90166Nice to see he is using the Suarez defence for his case, I called him a Black C**T but I wasnt racist, the Black refence wasnt offensive…
After spending a night drinking down the Kings road, I noticed the Chelsea bars seem to have posters up of all the White players, so in his defence (the Suarez defence) is it must be normal where he comes from !!!
11 July 2012 at 3:47 pm #90170If he’s suspected of breaking the law & there’s evidence that means there is a case to answer then he should face the courts just like everybody else irrespective of how much it costs, how much he earns & how little any punishment would be in relation to his wealth.
There’s the argument of whether its in the public interest but the argument that justice has to be seen to be done & that it applies to everybody will always outweigh those of costEdinburgh – to be fair to Terry (& I don’t really want to be) he isn’t quite using the Suarez line of defence (he said that he used a term that isn’t offensive where he is from) whereas Terry is saying that he used it to repeat what he’d thought Ferdinand had accused him of saying in a kind of shock/question way you can’t really put over when typing. That said, I can see where the prosecution solicitor was coming from when he questionned Terry as to whether if you think someone has accused you of saying something offensive the natural reaction is to repeat the phrase!!
11 July 2012 at 4:35 pm #90173I take it they didnt capture Ferdinand making the comments on camera that Terry was meant to have said?
